He was always good, but Raptors failed to build a team around him. He wanted to stay but we didn't want to pay him the max. Him and Scottie didn't mesh well and it made sense to go with the younger talent and hope for the best. Masai stupidly built a team around 6'7" long wing-span master on of none players. It's why those Raptors teams didn't work because it was poor roster construction.

Happy to see Pascal getting his praise, but it was best for both parties for him to leave Toronto. Also, I don't think he's a #1 option but works perfectly as a #2 option.

He most certainly was an overrated one trick pony during that finals run in Toronto. Had the Warriors not gotten injured they would've slaughtered them, but he was able to get away with it that year since they was injured.

I didn't watch him much in between that run up til now but it's clear he's added a lot to his game while still being a great downhill PF that can handle the rock. Salute to him.
Overrated one trick pony that was putting up 20 consistently on Draymonds head ?

KD got hurt in the series before, tore his achilles when he rushed back, klay tore his acl in the series, boogie was returning from injury but played limited minutes and their bench was depleted

Toronto basically beat steph, draymond and a bunch of bums

Nothing you typed changed the fact you responded to.

Underrated and versatile on both ends of the floor.

He’s not an elite scorer.

Like another breh said it works well for him in Indy because you have other players around him that are also versatile and it’s also still kinda considered Halliburton’s team even though Spicy P is much more consistent.

Spicy P was underrated in that Toronto run a few years ago too with being a very solid number 2 to Kawhi’s number 1.

His game isn’t super flashy, he’s good scorer but not elite, and he’s played on small market teams so he flys under the radar.

Spicy P is who a lot of people think Draymond was.

I always find it funny when dudes say Toronto is a small market....
