white folks fukked up his legacy..... thats what happens when you let cacs tell the final story..... they either discredit you or make you seem like a weak negro

I used to be guilty of it too when I was young and ignorant... I didnt understand why he wanted to hold hands with the enemy instead of go to war....... I was wrong tho... MLK is one of the legendary ancestors... probably one of the greatest black men to ever live..... but white folks fukked up his legacy.

He was definitely more than just some peaceful hand holding negro.... he's a legend.
What is a good read on MlK?

Why don't you post the rest?

Dr. King told him that we “Become the firemen, Let us not stand by and let the house burn

"I fear I may have integrated my people into a burning house." -MLK

This is the most correct thing he said in his lifetime.

Brother Malcolm explains why people would call MLK a c00n. Start at 9:45 but I'd suggest you listen to the whole thing. (Entire speech is called "Message to the Grassroots.")

This rhetoric didn't start in the 90's it has been around since MLK has been around.

Yeah Blame Christianity and MLK and not racism, poverty, out of wedlock births, broken families, drugs, hatred for your fellow man, lack of inheritances.

Lol at MLK being the reason blacks will never rise. :mindblown:

Christianity and Mlk made sure Blacks will never rise in this country.

It gets misconstrued that MLK was always preaching non violence because he wanted to hold hands and shyt, which at the beginning was prolly true. But later down the line he continued a non violence approach because he felt violence was impractical. He knew we were simply outnumbered and outclassed in this country and all violence would get you is dead or in jail.

Still holds true today. All an "uproar" would do today is have the city's swat team put your ass down like a dog.

I didn't see the point. But funnily enough Malcolm talks about this idea in his speech. He said the house negro fought to put the fire out, while the field negro prayed for a wind.

I've seen some coli posters with that disgusting rhetoric.

MLK did more for black people than all these haters combined, dude was assaulted, threatened, blackmailed, and kept on pushing.

Lol at docile, I remember reading a story how MLK and a few other blacks were in a church and there were 5,000 cacs outside wanting to kill Martin

Y'all would have pissed your pants.

People might call him a c00n vecause they goal was acceptance..

What he did benefits us today and gives us a somewhat easier life but compared to what the haitians did (rebel, destroy the opressor)

Everyone TOOK the beatings and shyt and that doesnt sit right with me. All for acceptance

It's based on economics. There is the argument that we were better off segregated. He fought heavily for integration and it crippled our black dollar.

MLK was looking deeper than economics. He was looking out for rights BY LAW and the safety for black people. He merely used Christianity as an inside tool to communicate with black people in America. Economics is just one aspect of POWER.
