When did you get your drivers lisence?

I got mine at 16. I ain’t have a car until I was 21 doe. It’s dis young nikka I know dats 23 who’s looking for a job. Saying no one will hire him(doesn’t have no felonies) I said shyt drive for uber and rent a car thru uber and he said he doesn’t have a lisence I was like

I understand if you live somewhere wit a good public transportation like New York City but where I’m at now…nawl

I was 30. Once I moved to San Antonio (from NJ), after passing the written test, received my Driver's License in the mail. Never took a road test or any driving classes either.

Had I stayed on the East Coast, I'd never drive. Public Transportation, my bike and roller blades were my preferred choices for travel, also doubling as a fun way to get some exercise.

Edit: tell your friend that Temp Agencies are his new best friends. You'll be surprised which companies hire through them.

I actually met him working thru a temp agency.. he was at another one here in VA called Ranstand but I guess he got fired somehow

Ranstand is down here too. They have all the jobs written down on a white board, just fill out their application and tell the temp recruiter which job you are choosing.

I know this because prior to starting at the post office in 2015, there was a delay for my start date (went from May to an August start date). Stopped by there and it was off to the races. I probably worked about 15 different jobs in that 3 month period.

So I wasn’t in a rush to get my license until i could afford to buy my own car. I got it at 19 after saving up to buy a beater 95 Camaro. And my shyt was the base model, so no V8

I tried with ranstand last year but they said with my felony I prolly couldn’t pass baccground checcs. Since then I’ve been using apps dat don’t baccground checc like Instawork and Gigpro. Through working at those jobs I’ve been offered full time positions but didn’t want to take them because I’m a fulltime student also. I also get a small disability checc

I still want one of dem base model dodge chargers , I wouldn’t mind a v6.. but my car I have now is a 2015 chrysler 200 I’ve had for like 11 years and it’s a 4 cylinder.. so a v6 would be an upgrade !

To be fair you don’t really need a car in certain cities like SF, Boston, NYC and DC cause public transportation is simply better and less expensive there.

Yeah. You can actually get around Boston with just a bike too. The city is quite small.
