Cube was my idol. Bias how? Cube began to fall off on Predator. Everyone knows it who was a true Cube fan. It's all in the songs.

Bullshyt. Lethal Injection was atleast a four mic album. Act like U Know how we do it, Ghetto Bird, When I get to Heaven, What Can i do?, Enemy were not some dope ass vintage Cube songs.

Lethal Injection was the beginning of the decline... that was the first time he got a mixed reaction and that Bop Gun single was so cringeworthy even then. He was still afloat for a while, but by the time We Be Clubbin' rolled around in '98, he was absolutely washed.

If lethal injection is 4 mics, the AMW is 10 mics.

Play Bop Gun. Play it right now.

Can one of y'all give me cliffnotes on the "Don Mega" phase? I been on and off listening to Ice Cube forever, but those War & Peace albums were so :hhh: that I didn't listen to Cube for years and basically had erased them from my memory. I though the 03 Westside Connection album as dope, as well as Laugh Now Cry Later and Raw Footage. I Am The West was :gucci::gucci: Everything's Corrupt was pretty nice for a dude in the far twilight of his career. I mostly bumped this thread cause I have been binging a lot of West Coast music which included various songs from Ice Cube's 1st 4 albums, and there was a noticeable shift as the albums went on though they were still good.

Every time this discussion come I swear to god nikkas got another version of Lethal Injection than me. That was a dope album. Is it as good as his first albums? No...but it's a damn good album with multiple classic joints (Really Doe, Cave bytch, GHETTO BIRD, Bop Gun, You Know How We Do It, etc)
:gucci:

After that album? Pick a year and yea, you can say he fell off. But that album was legit.

Happened with War and Peace, but then he bounced back with Bow Down.

His later albums are pretty solid though. But if you not a cube fan, you may not appreciate them.

I remember reading in some forum that he was one of the top 5 hottest rappers in the game and then his can fan base pretty much left him high and dry.

Did people stop fukking with him before or after Predator?

He's honestly my favorite 90's MC(this doesn't count Wu-Tang or Tribe of course).
After the Westside connection album
He kinda came back when he was fukking with lil Jon in the mid 2000s
Solo wise I stopped after The Predator, lethal injection wasn't all that to me
