G Funk was funky...this trap shyt the beats are so damn generic..
Yep it's too generic and extremely oversaturated Trap has and is still being utilized by artists worldwide. The things I like about G-Funk it was usually solely used by artists from specific regions which avoided it from being generic and I like the fact that most producers versed in G-Funk would compose or have a live band for a song.

Lack of regionalism and a distinct sound causes music to be homogeneous and uninspired.

trap unlike those other sounds outside of autotune, has actually influenced POPULAR music on the whole. white/k-pop/latin/edm etc...have made sure that trap sound will stay around longer that the likes of crunk, snap, etc...
