Yeah I actually tried working with some trap producers a while back. the workflow had me disgusted

They didn't even know how to get the midi keyboard working because they don't ever compose anything, or play drums.

The entire process is listening to loops over and over again to manually change the rhythm/add in new drum sounds.

I produce too and that process sounds inefficient and awful
