Was thinking about this topic recently. Of course sales are down, you are selling the exact music that everyone else is. There are alot of good artist who would do much better if they went and found a new sound. Pus most of the new producers can only do trap beats. They aren't diverse at all. One trick pony.

are we gonna act like most these people mentioned above didn't make fast food music with largely the same content as the Trap guys w/o the strip club element?:patrice:

Hmmmm.... They may be guilty of that but at least the fast food that they put out didn't sound like their competitors

Yep. These fatherless dudes want to make strip club music for thots and bums. It's like everything revolves around the strip clubs and simping hoes now. :mindblown:

Muthafukkas copying the Lil Wayne/Gucci Mane blueprint for over a decade now, flooding the market with thousands of disposable songs and catering to hoes, and yet they still don't blow and their show money is peanuts since the market has.so much competition.

Trap beats are beyond played out. It's like gangsta rap post Kanye West in 2004, when everyone knew that it was in its twilight years, but them old head east coast rappers still made it until the youth kicked it out for southern beats.

What we see now, are a buck of spineless fatherless dudes scared to innovate or push anything, because they want easy money. Black music needs a young version of Kanye West or even some groundbreaking shyt to restore balance. With Trump in office, maybe the 15 year southern strip club party that the radio shoved down our throats may come to an end, since America is going to go 3rd world very soon.

I agree but this didn't begin out of thin air bro, remember LL making "I Need Love"?

Change around a few beat styles, the approach to hooks, add effects, simplify the rhyme schemes to each verse, have no actual emotion, leave out lyrical bars.
Before you know it, you have 2 generations of a movement doing their best bytch nikka rendition of "I'll Always Love You".
When New Jack shyt took over, it was only a matter of time that Rap would then become the voice of all these simp eunuchs for teens. What's unprecedented is they're doing this over hard beats, which we give off this
:scust:
I'm all for treating most women with love and respect, but how do they not laugh at these dikkless clowns? We went from "hating bytches and hos", to becoming them.

Only our own genre, who green lighted this as a profitable idea? If you can't sing, how fukking hard is it to be in an industry full of famous singers, you being rich enough to hire some to help you out?

I feel like there needs to be a Simon Cowell in this genre, it's way too lenient in signing onto major label deals. Because it's "young and hot", you don't need experience or knowledge anymore to become successful.

This shyt is absolutely insane beyond comprehension, no wonder when nikkas can't find jobs this is their next best gig.

You gotta remember, Disco Djs were the first rappers (syncopated to the beat) whereas the "Bboy" crowd was all breakbeats and dancing w/o rappers but nohting more than people giving shout outs over the mic. When the rappers took over in the "bboy" scene, they eclipsed all the other elements and then rap on record was born.

No wonder Flex be repeating his grown sissy ass voice on ad-libs to keep on bytching about rappers who do something productive with their lives. Rappers took DJ's jobs, so in turn they don't return the favor in helping most on the come up blow up to reach status of hitmakers.

Rap music is for women now. Women aren't introspective, self aware, or intelligent. That's why they don't have any great achievements. As long the feminist are winning rap will be dumbed down trash worshiping p*ssy and telling young black men to be tricks.

trap music is made to worship strippers and low quality women. And they expose it to kids, trying to turn the male population into simps. But I do believe that it is taking a back seat in parties ainxe that African dance music taken over clubs in the last year or so. Trap is the worst thing to happen in Black American music.

Trap music best days are behind them. Cardi B the last one to cash in heavily before people move on. There wont be another breakout star like that again
