how were the social interaction? how was fitting in?
The one thing I remember more than anything at that age was being upset at lunch time because my folks could only afford to buy me one piece of pizza as opposed to the two pieces other kids were getting on their plates.

I was unhappy there as a kid, and I don't remember making a single friend in my two/three months in attendance.
When I went to a different one years later, I had fun and met a few guys I still kick it with today(majority were on my team) but I honestly enjoyed public school better as far as day to day interaction went, personally. As a minority, you'll stick out like a sore thumb. Some are more adept at coping with it than others.
