Homeschooling is actually the most ideal way to educate children. The average homeschooler has better academic outcomes than school student. That might be because the parents on average are richer and more educated on average, and that's why they have the ability to homeschool, but th but average homeschooler outcomes indicate homeschooling is the best way to go if you know how to go about.

I remember Voddie Baucham saying that even children raised by homeschooling moms have better results than public and private schooled students....

Could be interesting but I have no desire to re-live watching experiences of shyt I went through. I don't regret the opportunities my education gave me, but it's not something I like to re-visit.

how was your experience? where there racial overtone trying to get educated?

The private school I went to was predominantly black. But they didn't harp on that I guess. The only difference from when I went to public school was the kids, and the curriculum.

My son, I think his 1st grade teacher tried to pick at him a little but his dad and I checked him. Everything else has been fine for the most part.

I remember attending private school as a very young kid - maybe 2nd grade - and the school had a play. The black kids could only be butlers and maids. Parents promptly removed me. I eventually went back to a diff establishment during hs on an athletic scholarship, but it's definitely not all its cracked up to be.

Wow, it was that bad? Would you ever put your kids in private school?

I went to public and was absolutely miserable... I did not benefit at all from "social interactions" there.....

Outside of football, I didn't fit it in at all.... I just wasn't as into the things other students were.... and you know how shallow kids are, add that into the mix and it wasn't a pleasant experience for me....

The one thing I remember more than anything at that age was being upset at lunch time because my folks could only afford to buy me one piece of pizza as opposed to the two pieces other kids were getting on their plates. I was unhappy there as a kid, and I don't remember making a single friend in my two/three months in attendance.

When I went to a different one years later, I had fun and met a few guys I still kick it with today(majority were on my team) but I honestly enjoyed public school better as far as day to day interaction went, personally. As a minority, you'll stick out like a sore thumb. Some are more adept at coping with it than others.
