Have y'all forgot that this nikka even rigged the dunk contest right before our eyes. That shyt was so blatant! It was a fukking Kia commercial on right after Blake jump over a Kia, who sponsored the fukking event! And he clearly wasn't the best dunker.

Kia has been a long-time sponsor of the NBA. They give a car to the league MVP every year. I don't think they'd be too happy seeing someone jumping over a Ford on NBA programming.

As far as being fixed, no I don't believe games are fixed. Look at the Kings/Lakers Series. There can be opinionated calls, but ultimately, you must make the best out of the cards you were dealt. However, people conveniently forget there was a Game 7 that still had to be played in Sacramento. Take a look at the box score:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200206020SAC.html

The Kings could have easily taken Game 7 AT HOME if they didn't shoot 16-30 from the foul line and 2-20 on 3-pointers. You also had the abnormality in Games 6 & 7 of Shaq, who was a 55% free throw shooter that season, making 75% of his free throws in those two games.

There are no rig games for sure, like the players are in on it. But, the NBA is the only sport really were they have a thing called "superstar calls". Why the fukk should a call be different for a star than another player. Stern doesn't rig the games, but you can sorta assume and tell who he would want by the way the NBA advertise and hype up players and teams. The draft this year was rigged easily, and shyt like the bad calls the ref missed in game 2 of the C's-Heat series and game 6 of the Spurs-Thunder series makes people question the NBA as a sport. But, for me no I don't think Stern is there fixing or telling the ref's to tell one squad to win or Stern or an NBA official telling a team or player to take a dive, none of that shyt. But, with shyt like the Lakers nixed trade involving CP3, the recent series like game 2 Heat-C's, game 6 Spurs-Thunder, this year's draft makes everyone shake there heads and question the commissioner and the league as a whole.

The Refs fix games, not the league. Get it right.

However the recent lottery draft and the whole NO/David Stern/CP3 shyt is suspect as fukk.

If that was the case. Would the refs be fired.

Look at the game I posted and tell me the refs did that without Stern Knowing.

The games you mentioned, right along with game 3 of the Suns v Spurs in '07 are the worst officiated games I've ever seen.

Something was going on with that shyt

No coincidence, all three are discussed as examples in Donaghy's book.

All asterisks as far as I'm concerned.

i do believe that refs are influenced in some way. i have just seen to many convenient calls made that fit perfectly for the script. the crowd behind the frenzy and refs get caught up right in the mix of the cinema. i think this is most cases

but then i do believe there are times when the refs are just flat out handing a game to a team because they are concerned with the advancement of the teams. when you see what happened in that lakers vs sacremento series, or even early in this playoffs when you see the heat get 20+free throws and the knicks get 1 that is someone making a call from upstairs. ratings in the ecf/wcf and in the finals mean a lot in terms of the television deals the league have with broadcasters. i def believe stern and others are concerned about that and in subtle ways manipulate quarters and outcome of the games to make sure some star power is in the finals.

i dont think refs no matter how hard they try can overcome great great playing from a team. but calls going all the way of one team almost always takes the opposing team out of rhythm and knocks them out of whatever momentum they may have had.

i see slick sh1t like refs giving all the calls to a certain team in the beginning of the 4th quarter, but then all the calls go the way of the other team to end the game and those are the calls that matter. but then you look at the box score the foul calls look even, even though the winning team got all the calls when it mattered.

With the exception of Blake Griffin, every lottery since 08 looks a bit suspect

08- Chicago gets Rose
09- Griffin
10- Wizards owner dies, they get #1 (Wall)
11- Cleveland gets it after Bron leaves
12- League acquires Hornets, Hornets pick first
13- Cavs
14- Cavs

I'd say the first Cleveland pick doesn't look bad at all, but 3 in 4 years? :stopitslime:

It's no secret that NBA refereeing is ass, but we're a year removed from a fukking San Antonio-Memphis WCF. I might add that Memphis eliminated LA & OKC in the process. That's literally the worst possible outcome ratings wise out West
