my feelings were hurt at that point. i was sad and angry when she told me. i think honesty i real important to me, because if she would've been straight up with me it wouldn't have gotten to that point. the way she told me was so awkward i remember she came over late as fukk so i was real tired when she told me which i think made it worse.

This is terrible advice. A man should NEVER be the one bringing up a potential relationship, asking a chick if she has a boyfriend could lead her to thinking you want to be her man. All a woman you're pursuing should ever know is that you are sexually attracted to her, don't even imply you want a relationship till she explicitly says SHE does.

Asking if she's single is not necessarily the same thing as wanting to be her man. She might know that you're interested and that you're attracted, and won't mention a boyfriend just because she enjoys the attention she's getting and she's getting a self-esteem boost knowing she could have you any time she wants. You also risk having her tell you she's interested, getting together with her and then having her man walk in on you two.
