The only real chance Meek had/has to get some kind of W out of this is to throw his career into the bushes and continue pressing the issue, he didn't...and it's probably too late for that "wait til I get off tour" shyt so he just ends up looking like a girl.

I know you fukk with Drake, you think he's nice ect...but lesbehonest...do you think the disses stopped on Meek's end because of the lyrical prowess? He shut the fukk up about it because he was told to shut the fukk up about. Even with the whole meme shyt and how people reacted I don't think just that was enough to put Meek on mute.

His actions (bytch made, as usual) were fukking up the money...Even Nicki was probably like can this wait til you are off my tour :snoop:

He ain't bow out because the heat was too intense or because of memes, he bowed out because he done goof'd up with the suits and ties.

The loudest most ignorant trap rapper doesn't just all of a sudden shut up cause he wants too..

There's clearly something else.. someone else in play here..

Meek has a pulse and when Death of Autotune enters the arena if I was Future I would tred lightly

Don't stand too close to Drake.. Jay coming for that ass and Meek needs to sit back and keep quiet

The pendulum is swinging right before ours eyes

I'm watching Drake turn into "Hammer" as in "Hammer" on death row when he dropped the MC :mjlol:

so you have two threads on the front page: one you saying meek won and one saying meek loss. I think you loss over all.

You gotta read post one in each for context

Both state MEEK LOST

one is more specific as to how he can win as this continues to unfold

@SunZoo @Napoleon

Not sure if this sentiment has been expressed but It's becoming clearer and clearer (pretty fast) that Meek has this in the bag.

Yeah. His career getting ruined was worth it if he can get a twisted moral victory lol.

He's got Drizzy all out of character on some tough guy shyt... His content has gotten even more aggressive than it was earlier this year with IYRTITL.. Which was already a reach given the material he's created in the past.

Honestly, Drake's been headed in that direction for a long time. He says he won't stop being himself, but he seems terribly insecure about it. It had nothing to do with Meek tho.

That duet mixtape/album is light.. I'm talking 3 of the 11 tracks are bangers and the rest is sub par. Why not drop Views from the 6?

For what? He dropped a mixtape with no promo available in one place and he's about to do 500k.

Future and Meek are the only two artists in the trap lane that have dominated in 2015 but Trap isn't really Drake's lane let along tough-trap :mjlol:

See above. Half a mill. You might be able to kill Drake off, but not this year. This year is his.

The ghostwriting exposure hurts his legacy long term because he claimed best/king and that's unattainable now. Regardless of how you feel about ghostwriters or ghostwriters in hip hop it's been around and will continue to be around however, those Sprite cans (they always looked funny) look egrioguus right now.

Nobody but dusty old heads and Coli posters think so. That's not even an exaggeration either. The people who write his legacy are the kids who truthfully, honestly give zero fukks about ghostwriting.

Not to mention, the aforementioned dusty old heads and Coli posters said he didn't matter from the jump because he was soft, sang on records, was a phony.

You act like he was right on the verge of winning them over somehow. :mjlol:

@SunZoo it's clear that Jay-Z is the black hand who encouraged Meek. DC4 is coming sooner than we think/realize and you can hear Drake alluding too the underlying theme here that should be getting exposed to the public soon..

Public Perception is reality and there is no doubt that the public has handed Meek his short term L (via charged up/Back to Back) but he's right on track for a loud ass last laugh..

Notice how quiet the LOUDEST in the room has been :sas1:

What's Meek got to laugh about? That some old heads whose opinions don't matter hate Drake more than they did last year?

If Jay was behind Meek's twitter fingers (and I highly doubt it) then there's a reason he sent a foot soldier and not himself. The foot soldier got kicked in the pit like Leonidas. The boy is too strong. Jigga ain't gonna engage in that war. Not now, at the very least.

That's just a fantasy that people have hoping someone important will step up to try and end Aubrey. Hell they hope Eminem will find a reason. By the way Eminem could do it too. His followers are like a cult.

50 year old Camel hey :mjlol:

Ask Future's main influence who was riding a huge wave in the mainstream pop world (not just hip hop) how that ended for him once the camel made auto tune unpopular for 6-7 months

Exactly.
Record Industry:  @ Meek

And now it looks like Drakes record really backed him down on some battle shyt, further authenticating him as some kind of legit MC. It makes no sense.

@SunZoo

Just realized Beans and Jay squashed their beef earlier this year and Beans reached to Ab to fall back and not take Drake's bait with really getting at DC on some street shyt

I've noticed the OBH talk from Drake has disappeared and both camps have stop their back and forth....

@Cbanks36 bruh, you're confusing what you want to happen with the reality of the situation.

Drake is unstoppable right now and the young high school to college age fanbase who are actually relevant in shaping the pop culture conversation don't give a fukk about any of the shyt you're talking about. To them, Jay-Z is Mr. Beyonce, not some all-powerful God capable of destroying careers. As I said, anyone who thinks this is gonna hurt Drake's career on a mainstream level weren't fans of him and didn't take him seriously as an emcee in the first place. I know it's hard to admit, but the generation most of the older folks on the Coli are part of is not relevant anymore on a mainstream level. I'd imagine this is how Kool Moe Dee fans must've felt like when him and LL were battling. :mjcry:

Actually Drake is the reason I've changed my overall tune

I watched the underdog stop the unstoppable force in 2001

And again in 2003

I've also watched empires crumble in this genre

Drake's alluded to someone gassing Meek twice. The first time I shrugged it off however, this last time it's clear as day that Drake keeps mentioning it for a reason.

I just wouldn't bark up Jay's tree like he still isn't an unstoppable force. Drake's circle might need to chill him out.
