Being poor isn't a black thing. fukk how can y'all want to be apart of something that thinks you're inherently poor & dumb and need Cac government help for surviving

It's not a black thing but you can't deny that in this country black people suffer more from being disenfranchised.

What do you think racism is but economic disenfranchisement?

I think people know what he was trying to imply with respect to institutional racism. It's just that for a long time he had run on a platform where his suggested solutions are going to lift everyone up and that includes minorities. He could not turn on a dime and address the need to look at the intersection of poverty and race differently. His wife was on Chris Hayes show and similarly had trouble disentangling race and class, she even said their campaign is not trying to divide voters by focusing their message on specific communities.

Race and class are intertwined though. .

Why you think all the bourgeoisie black folks are getting mad about the ghetto comment? They don't want be associated with the black poor.

At that wasn't it the expressed purpose of MLK to united the working class mass regardless to race?

Sanders says that "when you're white ... you don't know what it's like to be poor." On the contrary -- the most recent figures show that nearly 20 million white Americans are experiencing poverty. While that’s smaller as a percentage than it is for other racial and ethnic groups, that’s still a lot of people. In raw numbers, it’s actually more than any other group. We rate his claim False.

Bernie Sanders wrong to say, 'When you're white ... you don't know what it's like to be poor'

You DON'T want to make 20 million people feel you are detached with their issues especially when most of these people likely vote Democrat.

ALMOST similar to Mitt Romney's "47%" speech

The Congressional Research Service, the nonpartisan policy arm of Congress, summarized a number of studies on NAFTA’s legacy. That report said it is difficult to tease out the effects of the trade deal by itself. Factors such as economic growth, inflation and changes in exchange rates cloud the waters. That said, the report struck a measured tone.

"NAFTA did not cause the huge job losses feared by the critics or the large economic gains predicted by supporters," the report said. "The net overall effect of NAFTA on the U.S. economy appears to have been relatively modest."

Sanders overshoots on NAFTA job losses
