It depends. If the person already knows what the issue is (which they usually do) then I just fade into the background. Otherwise I would speak up.

Probably best to tell them why and move on. I did both in this scenario.

I bought a used car part (VTEC Controller) from a someone and never used it.
I sold it to my friend because he needed one for his car and I had that one sitting in my garage.
Someone I/(we) knew was supposed to install it for him and the dude kept telling him next week.
Since he kept getting blown off on the install, pause, my friend accused me of selling him a broken part.
He could have taken it to someone else to install it instead of waiting for that person to do it.
I gave him his money back and got my part back, then sold it to someone else later that got it installed by the same lazy installer.

I cut him off, then ran into him at the track (RIP PBIR/Moroso) later on. He was like yo, you don't hit me up no more.

I told his ass you accused me of selling you a broken part which you knew I bought way before talking to someone to install it....he got the message, felt bad, but that was it for me. We were good friends at that time, but not day 1s where I would have mended shyt up and looked past it, then laughed about it now.

He was from Trinidad, next thing he gets drunk accuses me of looking at his wife and wants to have a shootout and clap us both, pause.

It depends on the person and situation.

I bushed a chick a few months ago who I used to be friends with back in uni.
We romanced and made out when her and her man was going through a tough period. After that, our friendship wasn't the same and she started moving distant and different which I guess was down to her and her man patching things up and her no longer wanting me in the picture.

Once we concluded final year of uni, I blocked her number and blocked her on IG, WhatsApp and Snapchat.
I was expecting to see her again at my graduation which could've made things awkward but she wasn't there for some reason.

One thing about me is that I'm very observant. I may not say anything but I know exactly what's happening and I move accordingly.
