No, try putting into perspective what a good hedge fund manager makes in a good year and it will absolutely blow your mind.

Nothing in this country is proportional to value in society. Its all about supply and demand.

I'm not arguing against this though. But I take offense to the idea that teachers are getting paid exactly what they are worth.

And I'm not even a teacher. I do have two young kids in school. And although the county I live in has great schools, I am more aware now how dumb kids are in other parts of the country.

shyt is pathetic.

I agree with you. They are underpaid, and underappreciated. Not the least of which by the school admins.

I just HATE comparing them to athletes, and this whole "why do athletes get paid this much but teachers paid this little" debate.

For one, supply and demand in a capitalistic society.

The second, no one wants to pay teachers. When I say that, I mean no one wants to pay the taxes that would give them a higher salary.

Its bullshyt, but thats America.

and this is the race angle. These leeches do fukk all and can clock 100 million a year. No one talks about them tho. Mostly because there is no face to these people, but a large chunk of them are white men.

I did that on my business forum, but since this is a sports forum I used athletes :manny:

Top-earning hedge-fund chief takes home $2.2 billion in 2012

2 Billion + 200 million in 365 days :wow::mindblown::whoo:

What about the owners? :heh: There is a face to them. They are able to afford paying ARod and Kobe $30 million a year. They get to fudge their numbers and even the players don't know how much they are actually bringing in. They get to cry broke and bully cities into spending public funds to build new arenas and stadiums. The get to lock players out and still collect TV money and end up getting more money after the players cave. And the biggest irony is that the same people who go on and on about how much players are making and how greedy they are often support ownership during negotiations and lockouts :dead:.
