WTF kinda shyt is that:hhh:
Yeah breaking down game film before practice and then after practice. That shyt is tough work. I remember buddy told me too that I can't speak to any of the players, it's against the rules. Our office was literally right next door to the locker room and you literally couldn't walk out the door without running into Mike Vick or one of them nikkas lol. That shyt pissed me off too, like nikka the fukk you think this is? I ain't finna treat them nikkas like gods. Job had me all the way fukked up.

Senior year of college I was looking for jobs in my soon to be career field and saw a "Marketing" position paying a decent salary so I go to this building and get to the suite and its just an office big enough for the "CEO's" desk. This nikka was fresh out of college himself with 2 Mexican employees who he asked me to shadow so they can show me what they do. I get in the car with one of them and the position turned out to be walking through neighborhoods and convincing people to get a new roof:russ::snoop:

The Mexican kept telling me how cool the CEO was and how he invites the team over to his house to play Madden n shyt:beli::skip: On the way back he could tell I wasn't interested because I was asking questions about benefits, schedule, company mission and he didn't have a answer to none of that shyt.

Some jobs literally have a new training class every month because the turnover rate is so high. Like...

Utiliquest. Seems like a good ass job because they literally give you a clean late model company truck you take home everyday, buy you a new pair of Redwing boots and have a month long in class training. If you do your job correctly, you literally see your supervisor once a month. :obama:You are by yourself all day with no one bothering you. Starting pay was decent with three guaranteed pay raises within a year. Sounds too good to be true but...

But once you’re in the field, they throw you to the wolves with janky ass equipment that barely works and none of the in class training applies to the actual job which you don’t even know how to do. :what:The whole job feels like those people trying to find treasure at the beach with an old ass metal detector. The underground utility lines are laid out like someone’s cardiovascular system in hella places. And accidentally marking the wrong utility can cause an explosion. Supervisors will antagonize you. My supervisor looked and acted like a harassing police officer, like a Latino version of Pac man from Colors. :upsetfavre:Made me feel like an idiot for the lack of training they provided. I woulda smacked the fukk out of him for talking to me like that off clock. The camera in the truck picks up every little driving mistake you make... like braking too hard or not turning smooth enough. Every little driving infraction you have results in a coaching and threat of termination. Plus you are expected to work every hour the sun is out which is a hella long day in the summer, 12+ hours a day. :why:After a week and a half in the field, I abandoned the truck in a random apartment complex a few miles from home, left the keys in the glove compartment and walked home in the pouring rain, but it felt oh so satisfying. :pacspit:

Damn:picard:

What does my parents work and immigration history have to do with anything?:mjtf:
Why are you getting so defensive? The point I was making was that immigrants come with a different attitude, which their children adopt. And it’s common for Jamaican immigrants to work multiple jobs.

That wasn’t slight at you.

One of my coworkers left the job to go do hurricane cleanup stuff down south one time. Came back 2 weeks later saying they wanted him to crawl over some wood planks with a downed power line on a flooded street for some reason.

said he caught a ride back with the Alabama power truck lol. It was like a sub contractor that was also subcontracted and he didn’t get a check for a few months later. Wasn’t worth it.

I was starting at a group home and they said come to the shower. They brought a client in and he started to undress. He hopped in the shower and the boss was like “just make sure he cleans his back and in between his checks”. :gucci:

I used to work at this shytty telemarketing company called Opinion Access :hhh:.

When I was down bad and down on my luck I saw an ad on craigslist for this job. They said $100 reward for passing interview and marketing exam. I was like :ohhh:.

I called up, got scheduled for the interview, passed it and the exam. Got my $100 too :yeshrug:.

So the day of my first shift, I walk in and nikkas in the lunch area arguing among each other cause somebody stoled this dyke fried chicken out the fridge. They was doing a full investigation with the manager. The shyt lasted for like a hour and I was just standing there confused and lost :dahell:.

So after that is over, they bring me over to the call center room and I kid you not, shyt smelled like weed, piss, and musk.:hhh:

I was about to leave on the spot just because of that, but I needed the money.:yeshrug:

Next the guy puts me and a couple of other people at our assigned seats to do calls training. I sat and watched my manager call a bunch of old people and prey on them to do surveys. Shyt was demoralizing the way they were messing with these people. Pressuring them to fill out surveys and whatnot. While in the middle of the training, a fight broke out because the stolen chicken from earlier. I told my manager I had to use the bathroom and walked right out. They was hiring anybody off the street. :francis:
