This joint also takes me back to how different NYC was in contrast to how it was now , granted gentrification was probably at it's infancy stages around this time but it wasn't as evident as it is now , I be seeing yuppies idling aimlessly around blocks in the Harlem/BX that back then used to be straight dangerzones :dwillhuh:

I remember how folks were clowning her when that song was out. everything from her voice to from rumors of her being from Jersey but claiming Spanish Harlem. only reason why that song became a hit was because a lot of females at the time like that song. for the worst song and singer category at that moment was between her and that Eamon dude.

that song embodies everything that was right about clubbing back then. it was that sweet spot a bit after that thuggy period and right after the shiny suit period. no bottle service and sparklers. just partyin. :banderas:
