Where did this idea that MLK was a c00n come from?

Before they murdered him Martin Luther was changing from that turn the other cheek shyt as was asking about those dollars...
To clarify.. They killed Martin because he started talking about money.

Despite that... Martin did what he had to do to get us legislative rights which was needed. Which about 10 years later, they took away again with the war on terror and mass incarceration.

Once that was done, he focussed on economics. They killed him because that was too far.

MLK died to take black people forward. He was no damn c00n.

ALl of that... that tweet was still funny. Because that's what media have turned MLKs message into.

Quiet as it's keep though, i never saw Malcolm in the streets putting action to his teachings. He made speeches. But it's not about Malc vs Martin, we needed both of them.
it definitely did happen but it was more specific actions related to the NOI community. Like when Black Muslims were beaten by police and held afterward, he organized NOI to force their release through show of force.

Definitely not the same large-scale movement activism as King though. Like you said, both are necessary

MLK got his whooped in Chicago, never in the South:stopitslime:

When u see these videos of MLK being attack, that ain't the south
king+hurt+in+chicago.jpg

Up North was worst
Malcolm knew that Peaceful Protest shyt wasn't flying in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Philly Etc.
MLK didn't

The NOI & Chicago Gangs saved his life in Chicago

This is a perfect example of “lack of perspective”. Just because MLK caught some beats in the Chi does not negate the social fabric in the south that was responsible for 1000s of lynchings, beats during the Selma march, Jackson getting popped, beats during the march in Birmingham, Emmett Till, Medgar Evers, Rev George Lee, Herbert Lee, 4 lil black girls got blown the fukk up for God’s sake...There are at least a hundred CRM Martyrs that no one knows about, whom were murdered in Bama/Mississippi during that era .the racial atmosphere in the south was significantly more deadly than it was in the north during that era... it’s not even debatable

Malcolms words resonate with young black americans because of what's going on in the country now in the Trump era.

and the CRM was indeed about snuggling up w/white people..what do you call this?

You can’t be serious with this post... so basically you believe nikkas shouldn’t have freedom of movement and access to resources in the 50s and 60s... the sit ins were part of a strategy to achieve that... nothing to do with snuggling up to white folks... and no, nikkas don’t know shyt about Malcolm, especially young people... Malcolm resonated with the hip hop community when they started printing his pic on T shirts with the AK..... I can ask 1000 nikkas what is there favorite Malcolm X speech and why, I bet maybe 10 could give me a lucid response... we don’t know our own history in this country and it’s painfully obvious

Well first of all you didn't answer my question - you agree that sitting next to white people in a diner and letting them abuse you is more effective than organizing with black nationalists?

And what the fukk are you talking about people don't know shyt about Malcolm X? nobody has access to a library, youtube, or the internet but YOU!? :mindblown:

MLK was more radical than Malcolm and the NOI were. The NOI had easy answers to a complicated problem. Let’s just leave and start our own country they said. MLK said America was stolen from the hands of slaves. He laid black claim to the vast wealth and power of America and for that was killed. He was the greatest American who ever lived.

Black nationalists were calling dr king an Uncle tom way back in the 60’s

This is not a new opinion at all, and as I’ve said before - Malcolms teachings and quotes have aged far better than dr kings
Except Malcolms teachings switched up at the end of his life .

He went to the Mecca and saw multiple races worshipping together.

Yes he echoed that philosophy in the video I posted

But he never let racists or the American govt off the hook, and to my knowledge he never recanted or retracted anything he ever said
