Say what you want about U-God but people are bugging out slandering RZA.

He killed the fukk out of "Tearz", "Assassination Day", "Wu Gambinos", "Snakes", "12 Jewels", "Sunshower", etc.

The only reason people don't talk about his "Impossible" verse more, is because Ghost had one of the best verses of his career on it.

Fred.
Word, I've been meaning to make a thread "times when RZA stole the show on the mic," with case-in-point being Wu-Gambinos. He fukking slaughtered that shyt

Above the fray.

Worst verse?

His part on PYN was the bridge and one of the most iconic parts of the wu tang catalog
It was terrible.

And his verse on chess boxin is the mosh popular one
his verse on Mystery of Chessboxin was outstanding. One of the best 'opening verses' for any Wu-Tang song ever.

That said, he's just the 9th best rapper in a group. You are inherently gonna be viewed as wack then.
Did we listen to the same song? I remember when I first heard this song, then and now ....Deck and Old Dirty had the best verses

U was terrible .

It wasn’t just the fans. In his book his said the other members would regularly roast him for his verses and kick him off songs. He said he was very stressed and insecure during this time. He even admits that he didn’t put it all together until the Forever album. That’s the first time he felt like he held his own.

I wonder which classics he was kicked off of...it was probably for the better, I can't even front

How could you not think he was wack?

On their very first record, he had the worst verse.
No stand out verses on the debut group album, and he was in a group with some of the best rappers of alltime. Even if he was halfway decent, he would have looked bad in comparison to them. But he wasn't very good.
It wasn't the best verse on the song, but Mystery of Chessboxin' is a standout and is memorable. Everyone knows "Raw imma give it to ya..." I've seen MFers that don't know shyt about rap at least be able to recite the opening lines.

You dead on about that pitiful "verse" on Protect ya Neck tho... :mjlol: To this day idk wtf he's talking about

yes, ODB's verse was better. But U-God's verse was definitely better than INS'. But, i didn't say it was the best verse...I said it was one of the best 'opening verses' in wu-tang history. It was a standout verse. And is one of their most quotable verses on the album

I think it’s due to “Black Shampoo” hilariously bringing Forever’s momentum to a screeching halt + G.A.R. being a dumpster fire, save for the few True Master-produced joints.

I never thought he was wack, tho, like homie said, he’s hilarious, and on their more uptempo joints, he/Mef/Chef/or Deck usually shines the most, plus his documentary is 100% comedy:

I’m not accusing you of doing anything wrong. Im just telling you what I’ve heard many times.

I’m from the south. We have weird ways of pronouncing things too. Sometimes we don’t notice them, it is what it is.

I have 1st cousins from Harlem and Bronx. I’ve went to school with transplants from NYC (Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn, etc. A lisp involves the s sound, that isn’t a lisp. I’m not saying it’s most of NYC, but I’ve heard it enough that it just might be a thing for some people up there. It’s nothing to get defensive about.
:manny:

i didnt feel guilt nor shame; i felt sympathy for your ears and mind

so your uptown cousins and schoolmates from BK cant say river?

i would say im less inclined to be defensive because this is fiction, i am genuinely puzzled

i feel as if you should stand on your word wth a thread
