If you can get KD, you get KD. Monday morning quarterback, they fukked up and should have been organic. A year changes a lot . Now they like Sacramento with the beam
This is the third team in 6 years to espouse that thought process. What do the Nets and Suns have to show for it? At some point there has to be results that go beyond a silky jumper.

We said this about the Celtics 5+ years ago. They have to stick it through. Injuries happen and the could get lucky.
Celtics in 21 had been to 3 of 4 ECF with 3 different PGs IIRC. Their hopes for the future were pinned to two two ways wings in their early 20s, not a 37 yr old one.

Somewhere tropic...
Need another scorer
Sengun is ehhh to me
and expecting VanVleet to pick up right where he left off is a lot
Everytime I watch the Rockets play its mad accidental basketball
just stumbling and bumbling I don't know if the coach is the issue

The problem with the Rockets is they have no playmakers. They need a solid PG or a playmaker of some sort. If Van Vleet has healthy they'd be a problem

Sounds like that coach in GS knew what he was doing.

What we should do is dial back expectations and go back to what should’ve been done from jump… which is player development.

Amen is 23
Sengun is 23
Jabari is 22
Shepherd is 21

I said last year that us overachieving (50-32) would be a double edge sword this year, and here we are winning (41-27) but not in a way that matches the elevated expectations nor improves our young guys. And this is their formative years.

We don’t have a Wemby, Cade, or Ant. Sengun is more Paolo-level, which is fine… just gotta rock out like ORL instead of tryna keep up with the joneses.

Exactly. They tried to skip steps and go directly into title contender instead of continuing to develop their young players.

if you're on the wrong side of 30, chances are it's not a "win now" move

When's the last time a team added a 37 year old and went on to win a chip specifically because they added that 37 year old?

IT'S KD DAMMIT. Seriously though, KD has never really shown he can DO IT. He's shown us how good he is but I don't know how to explain it without saying he needs help. Everybody needs help but I just can't express what I mean. I hate to say it but KD seems like a quitter. I can't explain it but it's not just the Achilles thing. Something about him makes me think he just doesn't give a fukk for real. Idk
