North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Are you saying Harden’s not more skilled than Clyde? :dwillhuh:

Clyde was a 6'7 shooting guard. He averaged 20-5-5 for his career. He played in an era where players weren't jacking up 3's. In his final season at age 35 he still averaged 18-5-5

Harden is no where near athletic as Clyde by the way.

He had his own nickname for crying out loud :mindblown:

At the end of the day, you can't compare Harden to Clyde. They played in 2 different era's. Because of how physical the game was when Clyde played, you needed a different skill set.

Yall already putting James Harden over Clyde the Glyde?

The hell you say. :hhh:
Bruh I swear I was on some Rockets forum the other day and these dudes were downplaying the fukk out of Clyde's impact in their franchise to big up Harden. Saying "Harden has already surpassed him" type shyt.

Man I got no dog in the fight but why did that get me so heated lol

So if James Harden's career ended today via injury, you're putting him as 4th best shooting guard EVER to play the game of basketball?

GTFOH....:comeon:

Let's see James Harden . ..

James Harden led the league in scoring this year and assists last year.

He has 6 seasons of at least 25 5 6

He has been the undisputed best SG in the NBA...

He is arguably the best guard in the NBA

Drexler never been that.

He's been MVP worthy for 2 seasons now and should win this year. Drexler never was MVP worthy.

He's a better scorer, shooter and a better passer than Drexler. He's essentially a 6'5 point guard.

If I was starting a team tomorrow...I am picking James Harden over Drexler.

Yadda yadda....and if there was no Michael Jordan, Clyde Drexler would have been viewed as the BEST shooting guard from the mid 80s, the entire 90s, and then up thru the early 00s until Kobe came into his own.
So what does that tell you?

Yeah, James Harden has had some good yrs in that SYSTEM. And leading the league in scoring and assists is an all-time great achievement. But then he QUIT on his team, his city, in a game 7.:hhh:

Nah, if I AM starting a team give me Drexler. He might score 25 to Hardens 30. But I know hes gonna play some defense and not gonna rely on trickeration on offense.

If the refs put that whistle up again in the WCF, ur boy Harden is screwed.

That's not an argument...

Stephen Curry and James Harden are pretty close in who is the best guard in the NBA and they are both MVP caliber players and neck and neck in terms of statistical output.

You can't be like..."Well if Michael Jordan didn't exist..."

Bruh...

Clyde Drexler only averaged 25 or more 3 times in his career...he was clearly second place to Jordan. He was a regular 20 6 6 player. He averaged 27 points in the fast paced 80s and clearly wasn't that type of player in the slowed down 90s...while Jordan was putting up 30 points a season on a regular basis.

I wouldn't' even put Clyde Drexler above Jerry West. I don't even know how people can put Clyde Drexler above or equal to D-Wade. When D-Wade was the man. A contender for best player in the NBA while Clyde was subordinate to Barkley and Jordan and Magic and Bird and Hakeem and D-Rob.

Clyde only got 12 pity 1st place MVP votes in the 1991-1992 season where he had 25 6 6 and put his team 1st place out West...when Michael Jordan probably should've been the unanimous MVP cause the man put up 30 6 6 and his team record was 67-15.

Michael Jordan was clearly better than Clyde. I don't even think Clyde was a cornerstone Top 5 NBA player in his own era...

You had Barkley, Jordan, Scottie, Magic, David Robinson, Hakeem, Karl Malone, Bird....

Curry and Harden is a debate...established themselves as cornerstone Top 5 players in the NBA.

Hell
Does clyde and Kawhi kinda have a similar style of game? Both got the same build, tend to run with shoulders more lower to the ground? Kawhi is better defensive by far but the style is somewhat similar. Kinda awkward moving but very effective.

Id put Curry over Harden and wouldn't blink an eye in doing so. Curry is simply better to my eyes. I need to see Harden ball out without the bs

And stop being trife....if MJ didnt exist Drexler is the best 2 guard for about a 15-18 yr span of the NBA. I'm just using a scenario to show how good he was. Then Kobe stepped up, then Dwade.

I don't put him above Wade or Kobe, but hes 4th best rt now, and until Harden plays several more yrs, my list isnt changing. Drexler wasn't some scrub, dude was apart of the Dream Team for a reason, not on some Christian Laetner sh*t

Clyde drexler is my 5th rated SG of all time (I consider AI a SG and have him 4th).

If Harden gives us another 2 seasons I will easily place him in the top 5 and knock Drexler out of it.

1.MJ
2.Kobe
3.Wade
4.AI
5.Drexler
