Is he that much of a disappointment though? he may not get any rings but he's one of the best rebounders of all time, and in his prime was an elite playmaker. I think the bad back jammed him up more than anything because he wasn't the same after. You could make the argument he's been a little underrated.

His back injuries had him go from the best big athlete I've in 30 years to being crazy slow. He was quick and fast in Orlando but hasn't been since. He's still a good player but he's a poor athlete when moving.

Dwight never had the fluidity or footwork development from a young age to ever be a great post big. Look at embiid now and you can see the smoothness in his movement.

Dwight was all explosiveness and power, and considering his abilities i would say he did pretty good.
