Ewing arguably had the worst talent around him all time and was considered a contender.

I'd say top 40, but definitely not top 25

Sprewell and Houston were allstars when Ewing was on the Sonics and Magic :shaq2:

They MADE the AS team when Ewing was gone but that doesnt mean they werent playing at an All Star level before they MADE the team. It's like Mitch Richmond who played at an All Star level most of his career but only made it once

He was also a bad rebounder. Dude couldn't jump more than once most times.

Dog Patrick Ewing was done when that team finally started to gel in 1999

For the bulk of his career he played with little help. They were what they were. They had 1 HOF (Ewing) and a player who was maxed out by a HOF coach for a couple of seasons (Starks)

By the time Houston came in (who didn't make an all-star team until 2000ish) and Sprewell (1999) Ewing was already on the decline and about to be traded.

He played on shytty teams from 84-96 or so when Houston was the first truly legit help he had. He made the finals in 1994 because of a bad call and barely escaping Indiana.

That knicks team was never that good and ironically the only reason the knicks got to game 7 of that 1994 finals was because of starks. Dream took a shyt all over Ewing's head in that series.

:wtf:

No it's not like Mitch, he was a great player on a shytty team, he didn't get rewarded for putting up those empty stats.

When I interviewed Derek Harper, he always says this, especially with how well Starks played in Game 6.

I believe thats what i said in my first reply in here today wasnt it? See below
:childplease:

Larry Johnson was done by the time he went to the Knicks but Sprewell and Allan Houston were legit All Stars. Not superstars but allstars

Edit: Tho I'll give you this by the time Houston was beasting Ewing was on the decline and then gone.

And the only reason they did win was because of Cassell, who was torching us.

The Knicks fan in me puts him Top 25, realistically it's 26-30. Anything lower than that is asinine. KG is not better than Ewing, neither is Zo. KG couldn't get his team out of the 1st round when it was best of 5. Hell, he and Webber are really the same player...Webber was a better passer, and KG was a better rebounder.
