Late Registration...not so much the album itself but around then he was starting to get on my nerves so i wasnt nearly as hype for that album as i was College Dropout...i dont even think i heard it until years later...he didnt get me interested again until MBDTF...thats arguably my favorite of his albums...that and his debut...after that i dont really care about his discography.

I must be the only one that liked 808s :dahell:

nikkas mentioning Graduation...that's my favorite Kanye album :dahell:

I didn't like Fantasy that much but he was immortal around that time period and it got overhyped

He lost me at Yeezus tho :dahell:

I like 50% of TLOP :whoa:
808s gets a lot more love now than it used to even on straight hip hop sites, but outside of them it gets a ton of praise, especially in pop communities.
Grad gets its most love on thecoli and other straight hip hop sites, outside of these it's largely considered weak aside from the big songs.
Eh, I can't agree that it was overhyped because he was immortal than as plenty of people who wanted Kanye to fail loved the album and it brought in people from across various genres, plus it still gets love from people to this day who weren't listening to music then and wouldn't be affected by that.
But all of the best albums or things of all time are called overhyped by some, I've done it.
This is exactly how I feel. A lot of people look at MBDTF as a masterpiece but it's just grandiose and self indulgent to me. A lot of bells and whistles but not a lot of substantial lyrical content.
Every song has a strong message and fits into the overall story/theme of the album :yeshrug:

I didnt care for 808s more so because i couldn't relate to it, MBTDF is Ye's best Album, Yeezus was garbage to me, and TLOP COULD HAVE been amazing but it just seemed like a rushed mixtape opposed to his other albums that all mesh together.

MBDTF brought me back

Yeezus was trash

TLOP brought the real Ye back for a few tracks :yeshrug:

His run with CD, Graduation & LR was PIFF :banderas:
