from what i heard places like Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Nashville, Vancouver British Columbia, Las Vegas,Cincinnati and Seattle had good markets and would be great for team expansion, also NBA consider Baltimore, but according to city officials Baltimore does not have that much money to support a basketball team. but what you brehs think ?
Norfolk-Virginia Beach doesn't have any pro teams and have two semi-pro teams in baseball and ice hockey. I think they might have a hard time maintaining ticket sales.
Pittsburgh could have a team considering they are able to support the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins.
Kansas City, Missouri could have a team. They got the Royals and Blues.
Nashville can support the Predators but there's already the Grizzlies nearby. It would cannibalize fan support and ticket sales, maybe.
Vancouver, BC could if they did a better job of marketing the team than the Raptors.
Las Vegas is in a localized repression. There's talk of moving an NHL team there which I think would fail fast. I think an NBA team would also fail fast.
Cincinnati supports the Reds and Bengals. They (Cincinnati metro area and Covington, Kentucky) probably have the local demography to support an NBA team.
I voted Seattle because they had a team and have a pretty good demographic to support a pro NBA team. They already are still supporting the Mariners and Seahawks.
Baltimore supports the Ravens and Orioles. They might be able to support an NBA team.
Outside of these cities, I think other cities that could have a team:
Omaha, Nebraska. Sounds crazy but I think they are a small market team that could survive because they would be the only pro team in the area, kind of like the Green Bay Packers.
Louisville, Kentucky. Basketball is big there. This would be another small market team that I think could support itself.
St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN. They support the Twins, Vikings and Wild.
