I rarely look at reviews for hip hop albums. I already know if i'm going to listen to it or not 9 times outta 10.I think I'm the exact opposite. I use those sources as a point of reference, but not to validate my own opinion. Generally albums that get rave reviews from sources that don't traditionally review hip hop music aren't usually my favorite type of music to listen to so I just keep that in mind when reading their opinions.
