I thought interracial dating was suppose to be more acceptable on the West Coast. I guess they meant only Cali...certain parts of it at that. Except for a few places on the West Coast, interracial dating in the U.S. means White men allowed to holler at Black girls all over the country...the best ones at that. Meanwhile, Black men only get to holler at a few White girls, who are mostly buffaloes, or hoes. That's what interracial dating always meant to me in this country. And it's going to be that way as long as racism is allowed. I guess the brother didn't see it that way...RIP. If this brother was a nerd like the article states, then he probably hollered at the girl, thinking she was alone. That happens a lot. That's why I never just approach a girl the very second I see her, like a lot of DMV brothers use to do. A lot of brothers get killed that way in the hood, when they don't know how to back off in time. I don' think that was the case here...not with all those White boys around.
When it comes to White boys, as long as a brother is out-numbered, those White boys aren't gonna care if that brother knew the girl was spoken for or not. Just the sight of a Black man talking to their girl is enough to make them overreact, especially if they had a few Budweisers in them. I'm pretty sure that White boy had one too many words to say, instead of just letting the brother walk away after seeing she was his. And due to the fact that White boy was armed, gave him even more encouragement to make it bigger than what it was.
