the big thing I don't think they are considering is the fan base. A large reason college athletics and sports leagues are so lucrative is fan enthusiasm and attachment to particular teams or universities. This country is majority white therefore fan bases are overwhelmingly white. If you play at an hbcu will you still have all those white and nonblack fans which make the sport so lucrative?

First HBCU's have a solid fan base and that solid fan base does not even EXIST for the sports itself. Most HBCU's have a fan base due to school loyalty and the BAND and half time show. Now if this league has teams that actually play good basketball and mix it with an HBCU band during halftime and timeouts and intermissions that might be off da chain. It would attract a new fan base of people who like great basketball, people who like the music, OF course HBCU's have celebrity alumni the music will bring rappers and celebrities and attention. You don't think Drake,k Rihanna or the Kardashians won't be courtside checking out the 2nd coming of a Lebron or Lonzo Ball in a city they would already be performing at or something?
