you know what after this ignorant discussion here i'm more convinced than ever that white privilege is made up bullshyt by people who want to blame their problems on someone that isn't them. and my opinion on that was 100% reversed before I came to this website. And I say this as a 27 year old black man.

White privilege and colorism in general is a very real thing. The darker you are and the kinkier the hair one has, the less leeway society will grant when it comes to countless issues. If white person speaks their mind or gets pissed off on some bullshyt at work, at worst they'll get pulled aside, whereas if a black person were to do the same or less, they'll get written up or possibly fired and have an exponentially harder time finding a new job afterwards. Or if a white person gets strung out they'll rarely ever get totally written off and will simply be labeled as being someone that was "finding themselves" no matter how much of a shythead they were towards others. Blacks are constantly having to walk on eggshells when it comes to expressing their emotions when they're around white's, lest they get looked down upon despite just being honest about what's going on rather than passive aggressive like their white counterparts.
