The fact you put up very little argument proves that. Why do you think Watt was head and shoulders above Houston??

Those stats still don't show me why Houston got no votes. Shyt Is a popularity contest nothing more nothing less. The fact the Media refuses to give MVP to any position but QB lets me know all I need

What difference does it make? If he got 4 or 5 votes instead of 0 it still would've been a loss in a landslide.

Living in Houston I got to watch every Texans game, Watt is the real deal. Even though he was constantly doubled and on occasion tripled he was still flat-out dominant. There's plenty examples of players that are overrated by the media and benefit from white privilege (See Clay Matthews) but Watt is legit

also I bet anything that op doesnt realize watt and houston play completely different positions in same defensive scheme
even if we take sacks as a baseline, the next best 3-4 DE in sacks has 8 of them. EIGHT.

The NFL has been starving for a dominant white defensive player. There are none that play in the secondary, so it had to be a pass rusher and one finally came along in Watt.

If Houston was white and Watt was black, Houston absolutely wins DPOY this year.

you nikkas lack reading comprehension skills. I never said watt didn't deserve to win. I just was shocked Houston didn't get A SINGLE VOTE. at the NFL honors show, they said this was the first time there was a unanimous DPOY. just think about that. all the other great defensive players and seasons there ever been, it just so happened that this was the year there was a unaimous DPOY and a guy who got within one sack of breaking the NFL record didn't even get a single vote.

I bet Jared Allen got some votes in 2011.

This isn't like the heisman or the NBA MVP where they vote for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ect.

They were supposed to vote for who they thought was the best defender in the league, which was clearly Watt. I don't see the point in voting for Houston when he wasn't the best defender in the league.

And while I'm surprised this is the first unanimous DPOY (figured LT would have had at least have one unanimous DPOY) Watt happened to have one of the best seasons ever so he deserves having that honor. Keep in mind he had 1.5 less sacks playing the 3-4 end position; it's unheard of for a 3-4 end to rack up 15 sacks let alone 20.5 sacks.

So they telling me there is not even a way to make a case for Houston being better than Watt?
