Seeing K-Love blow by Randle…I think the breh ankle is affecting him this series.

I don’t see FO moving on from him.
Ain't got shyt to do with his ankle. He just wants to conserve his energy for offense. I saw him posting up multiple times using extra effort shifting his feet and jostling for position like he normally does, but then down the other end he'd make a half-hearted attempt at closing out and stayed ball-watching for his next opportunity at a rebound.

He's about the only dude on the team who legit doesn't try. Everyone else is busting their ass and breakdowns happen because of him.

This is how I see shyt.

1) the younger team got beat by the win now team. Mad teams had to develop to beat the Heat now it’s the Knicks turn. Their an obstacle, that’s their identity post Lebron.

2) the Knicks got assets to improve. 32 Mil in expiring contracts, a ton of picks, so they will.

3) Thibs is going to be brought back but I think if they don’t make the ECF he is gone.

4) IQ and Hart fukked up their money

5) Obi is getting traded

6) They need a bucket getter and a combo Foward so they can split the Randle/RJ duo

7) Any Heat fan sneak reading this is Zaya Wade’s bytch:hubie:

1) Yeah, this is actually a pretty good place to be. A second-round team with an abundance of youth, picks, and expirings has the assets to make something.

2) OG would be my main target. Jimmy was always a pipe dream, and even OG might...but considering the repeater tax fears around the league, maybe the race to pay a player like him isn't so competitive. I can't think of a better fit at wing.

3) Yeah...the worst part is I'm really curious to see if Johnnie Bryant has the chops to build an offense that this roster can excel with. This team can be so much more efficient.

4) Yup, but that's kinda a good problem for us. I hope it means they're cheaper to resign with enough years for the new CBA to kick in.

5) Obi should demand a trade.

6) They need to split up Randle/RJ permanently. I'd love to get OG and move Randle to recoup some of the assets that go out.

7) Idk if it's feasible, but if we go for a win-now move right away then I'd keep an eye on Milwaukee. We've got good centers, but get me Brook Lopez and move either of our rotation bigs. Then draft a developmental piece that can turn into a stretch C when Blopez retires. This is an extension of my old Jonas Valanciunas curiosity from last year.

Tough decisions gotta be made.

The hardest decision that the fans will have to come to terms with is that Quickley has until next year's deadline at best to stick around. Sell high on him.

Obi has been reduced to sweetener in any deal now.

if y'all really wanna dump Randle, do it before he reverts back to last year instead of believe he can be better.

and as much as y'all love then Nova boys, they're really valuable role players. Good to have, but what the Knicks are missing is that player on a higher tier that puts you over the top.

The good news about Mitchell Robinson: he carries some value in a vacuum. The bad news: the center market will be saturated, especially if a team with a center lands Wemby.

Realistically, pray you get #11, aim for the moon, shore your roster up with what you get from Quickley/Toppin/Randle and make RJ earn his keep if y'all really think he can elevate further.
I think that is a overreaction based on the teams age and the fact that I look at Thibs as this squads Mark Jackson/Vinnie Del Negro early era coach.

IQ and Grimes can improve.

Mitch is good but a coach should have a small ball lineup. A better coach would have had Hart start by game 2 or tried Randle at center. Obi needs to go somewhere where he can get get minutes because good game or not Thibs ain't playing him

I think Masai wants too much for of A and he is Klutch. When combined I don't think it happens.

The two situations I am watching is Paul George and Jordan Poole/Kuminga. The Clippers and Warriors are way over the cap. So a collection of expiring vet role players, a few draft assets, and Obi might be enough to get it done. Plus PG and Poole are CAA.

I think they will
It's getting extremely toxic with the fans & media

Can't believe I'm saying this but they should go get KAT
He would fit better on this team
Robinson been big time exposed. He's got stone hands and can't hit a FT if his family was held at gunpoint
KAT ain’t the answer. Him & Mitch playing together won't work. Don’t you see how the KAT/Gorbert experience is not working.
OK, so multiple things:

*I said within the last decade. A decade is 10 years. 10 years ago was 2013.

*The Giants won Super Bowl 46 in February 2012. So that doesn't count.

*Lastly, I said MULTIPLE championship-winning teams (meaning more than 1 team and in different sports).

Boston - The Patriots and Red Sox have won titles since 2013.
Denver - The Broncos and Avalanche have titles since 2013.
Tampa - The Lightning and Buccaneers have won titles since 2013.
Kansas City - The Chiefs and Royals have won titles since 2013.
Respectfully, nobody gives a f*ck about what you talking about...

OG is not the answer. I really don’t understand folks love affair with him. He's a glorified role player.

I've been over him being in a Knick uniform. This is who he is & he half asses plays like this during the regular season. His lack of effort is inexcusable & I really hope we trade him next season

Anyone that looks at team-building and treats one single move as "the answer" is going to be disappointed permanently. I'm not saying OG is the answer. I'm saying he should be a target to fill one of the teams major needs.

A lot of annoying overreactions in this thread. I’ll ignore the non Knicks fans for now. That being said all this trade trade trade nonsense for a team who just made it to the second round when you nikkas weren’t even sure this was a play-in team is dumb.

You have to look at where the money is going first. Hart and Quick will both be resigned (Marc stein has already reported its imminent with Hart) and Immanuel Quickley despite the playoffs showed his two way abilities. IQ is not only World Wide Wes guy (remember the emotional hug he got after the Cleveland series? Then add to the fact IQ is the only player Thibs has said quote on quote ā€œThat’s my guyā€ means IQ is not going anywhere. (So those two are returning).

Julius will easily return as him and Brunson literally make off of the most potent one two punches in the league. Since January 1st Brunson is averaging 28 and Julius is averaging 26. It’s clear from Ian Bagley reporting last year how the organization consults with Randle on everything, Dolan personally paying Julius fines, using the MSG P.R department to make him unavailable if anything goes wrong and the executives flying him to recruit both Donovan and Brunson (remember that infamous photo at the Dallas game). It’s clear Dolan sees Julius as the guy who saved his franchise (He did BTW).

Obi has to get traded and it’s not even fair to him or us at this point. Tom Thibs clearly don’t like this nikka. He rather put Barrett or Josh Hart as his back up 4. How many times have we heard Thibs say Barrett can play the backup 4 or Hart can play the backup 4. Shyt the old man put a lineup of Hartenstein and Mitch out there for a couple of games (still the wildest shyt I’ve seen all season). Thibs doesn’t like his lack of rebounding or his ability to lose downlow in the post. It’s clear it’s time to move on from the Obi situation. I have to assume Indiana and the Knicks will bring up the Duarte for Obi trade again and probably complete it this time. Obi should do well with a pure point guard like Halliburton.

Mitchell Robinson is an interesting scenerio. Mitchell Robinson has made it crystal crystal clear he’s not interested in the role he’s been given. Whether through Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, whatever Mitchell Robinson does not like his role in the offense and wants more. Thibs has talked to him, Brunson has talked to him, Julius has talked to him, I have to assume the organization may have said something (I’m not sure of that) but it’s clear there has to be something done here. I don’t see Mitch excepting this role for a third straight year. So something has to give. Remember Katz and Bagley reported that the contract negotiations between the two were very contentious and there were hurt feelings there (Ian words). Mitch contract is literally set up for that reason. His story is the most intriguing to follow.

Evan Fournier contract now becomes a 17 million dollar expiring.

With Derrick Rose I hope he considers retirement because possibly getting rid of him is such an emotional move. He’s too loved in the city for this not to stir up emotions. Good luck to Leon on that one because that can come with some backlash.

Barrett is the key to all of this. Our future and our present. You know Julius and Brunson are returning, Deuce, Quick, the Hart foundation, Grimes and Sims are locks to return. Barrett is the kingmaker for this team. Barrett regressed this season and it was ugly but he played better in the playoffs. Barrett will be the second highest paid player on this team next year and it comes down to this fact can RJ make another leap next year?? I personally think he can, I know some of you Knicks fans don’t and the organization maybe split (I’m not sure) but Barrett has a lot of emotional capital with the fam base and the media. As much as Julius was the signing that helped. RJ was that Pick. He was the Pick that helped transform this team. There’s a lot of investment in Barrett. I don’t think the Knicks have the Heart to trade Barrett unless it’s a superstar available (Harden, Embiid, etc). So we just have to wait it out.

About immediate trades. O.G is a good piece but again I don’t know we have the young pieces Toronto wants to surround Scottie (who is so Overrated) with. Maybe the Knicks try to look into Zach Lavine again in the off-season. Chicago is at an inroads right now
