I actually forgot about Wayne. I would put him and Em as equally overrated. Eminem was great for 1/7 of the time that he has been active but he's always been hailed as at least top 3 - regardless of the quality of music he would be putting out at the time. Wayne, on the other hand, has always been a trash rapper. Even the albums that are considered good (Carter 1 and 2) have like four or five good songs on them in between a bunch of bullshyt. Still, Wayne was only considered great for those 2-3 years. As blasphemous as that was, the rest of his career most people ranked him exactly where he should have been - nowhere.

During their respectives peaks they were both held as the best, the difference is Eminems peak is Lose Yourself, Waynes peak is Lollipop. It's true Eminem didn't use his full potential but he still had top 3 level talent & showed it on multiple tracks & deserved the praise at the time, Lil Wayne never did. Maybe it's just the social circles we move in, cause i know so many nikkas who really think Wayne is one of the GOATS.

As far as Eminem, what you said is exactly why I called him overrated. He's consistently moved units and has been hailed as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) rappers of all time when, in my opinion, his material doesn't hold up to those claims. Yes, he dropped two classics (I think) early in his career but he released way more trash on a much more consistent basis since then. Eminem from 1999 - midway 2003 is not overrated...Eminem from the end of 2003 - present is horribly overrated. That's a decade versus 3 and a half years. As far as Nas - I hate his voice. He has zero range and every emotion sounds the same. This is the reason why he can't convey any real feeling through his music, in my opinion. He sounds exactly the same talking about his best friend being shot as he does when talking about getting a blowjob. Is he happy, sad, angry, what? Now future, I really believe that what he does takes no talent at all. Simple as that. Again, this is just my opinion. You're welcome to post your own list and provide your own reasons.

Nas at least battled a highly skilled MC on wax, who has Eminem battled that is of that type on wax? I think Pac would have beat him in a battle too, or Biggie, I don't remember any great battle bars from Eminem.
