Check this out, whether or not God has always existed or something created God, both beliefs lead to the same conclusion...eternity. If God-1 was created by God-2, then God-2 must've been created by God-3, and so on and so forth. If you're looking for the creator of the creator, than that creator must also have a creator. Let's be real, if something created God the next question would be what created that. It's never ending thus eternity.

God has always existed, because there is no beginning.

God/Space/universe is beyond human comprehension, your question may get answered in death or our life just disappears :yeshrug:

I’ve always thought that humans will never have enough information to understand what life truly is. One of the more fascinating things to me is our understanding of time. Time is obviously about perspective. Even on earth, one hour of pain moves different from one hour of pleasure. And when looking at the universe, light that has been long dead is now reaching us. We’re literally looking at the past (with a combination of our present). shyt is spooky :pachaha:

Assuming there is a creator/God...who created the creator/God?

I know this may seem like a basic, or even nonsensical question...but fukk all that when you sit down and really think about it...it's deep as fukk.

Some will say that God has always existed...well how can something even exist without first having been created?

This shyt is keeping me up at night.

Thoughts?

And this is not an anti-religion thread...I'm legitimately trying to reconcile this shyt .
For this universe to exist there has to be something that is given the characteristic of eternal (everlasting and indestructible) or nothing makes sense.

For Atheists, they have their holy trinity of matter, dark matter, and dark energy. As we have been taught from 2nd grade science classes, "matter cannot be created nor destroyed."
So Atheists gave the godly characteristic of eternal (everlasting and indestructible) to matter and they believe that this universe's matter has always existed and just one day began to expand and in another day it will collapse onto itself and the cycle continues. That's a theory known as the Big Crunch and Big Bounce. Another theory is that the universe will expand eternally. This is known as Heat Death or the Big Freeze.

Religious people ascribe that characteristic to God. For us, God created the concept of time so therefore God is not bound to it.
God exists outside the boundary of time. God has no beginning or end. That is a quality of the creation, not the creator.

If you can believe that matter cannot be created nor destroyed it shouldn't be hard that to believe that God (with His immeasurable power) has no beginning nor end (God can't be created).

No idea what/who created the creator

My question is what existed before the big bang?

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
God was created by

- mans ignorance and intellect
- mans quest for the meaning of life
- mans lack of scientific understanding.

At the end of the day, man has no proof of the existence of god. It's all based on faith.

Even if there is a god, humans lack the knowledge to identify its existence. God could be lurking in this thread right now and we would never know.

Providing evidence of god would be the equivalent of providing evidence of what's inside a black hole or traveling inside a higher dimension.

We simply lack the intellectual ability to provide tangible answers.

But how could something exist without having been created first?

Again, not coming at anyone's beliefs...I just don't understand how this is logically possible .
Well, I feel you but let's say God or gods aren't the subject of the question and we replace it with "the laws of nature" or "the ingredients that can turn nothing into something"...what created those...
And if they didn't always exist...what created the natural ingredients or circumstances that created that!

Like, no matter how we slice it...it's fukking bugged out. It's like...nothing should have ever existed. Even "nothing" shouldn't fukking exist but somehow this whole world exists...

Like the breh above said, it just may be out of our capacity to understand such things. Like an ant trying to understand calculus.

I feel like this is just one of those things that we struggle a lot with understanding. Everything in our world has a beginning and end. ( animals, people, plants and even the universe)
But god has just always been and always will be. No matter what :wow:
