Right now...Dwight or Melo.

I see too many similarities w/ Rose and Kobe. They gon come after Rose's ass later:sadcam:

I see way more similarities between Kobe and Westbrook. Though Westbrooks teammate actually has his back and I don't see them splitting up any time soon.

Like I said in the other thread, Melo is due. He's the only one in the top 5 picks from '03 that hasn't been to the finals at least TWICE...AND the only one without a ring, regardless of how they all got it. He's Phillip Rivers to their Eli Manning & Ben Roethlisberger. He forced his way into a huge market and sided w/ Amare. They've got the reigning defensive MVP and if they get a big-name PG or something, all eyes on Melo.

Dancing Dwight's time is coming too. He's supposed to be the BEST center in the game. Got his coach fired after 3 Defensive MVP's, an empty-handed finals run (against the only other big man that they've been comparing to him), and now....it's decision time.

This should be an interesting off-season.

Football: Vick, Romo, Rivers, and Ochocinco (who DID rock that Hall of Fame Jacket during a game)

Bynum was nothing more than a big body during that finals series. Pau actually did most of the work on Dwight defensively.

I was waiting for someone to mention Sabotage. Maybe I'm being a prisoner of the moment, but wild-ass Westbrook has to be a candidate for this.

Pressure of not winning titles is only on all time greats like Lebron Barkley and Malone

Nobody in their right mind thinks Melo is an all time great player who should lead his team to a title anymore

Yeah I don't think Melo is held in that high regard as guys like Lebron & Durant anymore. People won't put that pressure on him.

Look y'all, I'm not saying that the slander will be deserved or warranted. But the media has to hype matchups next year for Bron to look like a strong competitor in the long run.

Rose is out next year basically, so he's safe. Boston is too old and Rondo already has one. Indiana isn't noticeable enough yet. Dwight MAY start to get it especially if he is traded to a contender next season.

But we all know the ringless talk doesn't die, so it has to shift somewhere... Melo's star power has dwindled, but trust the media can spark it right back up... Bron needs opponents. Even if the media has to create them.

Oh yeah, I think the slander shifts to Melo, CP3, and Dwight in that order. With Durant on the horizon if they lose in less than 6 in the Finals next year or don't make it back.

Also .....

1. LeBron - Champ
2. Darko - Champ
3. Melo - ?????
4. Bosh - Champ
5. Wade - Champ

He's the only one from the top 5 of that 03 draft without a title now. If I were him I'd be in the gym right now, fukk that.

I'm just saying...the league is lacking TRUE marquee big-men at the 5 and this past season, the debate (at least on "First Take", where most criticism is born) was "Can Bynum be considered better or AS good as Dwight Howard?".

He had the 30 rebound game against the Spurs & added fuel to the fire. Even though he's a knucklehead at times, Bynum's got the hardware already. The Lakers lost to the Celtics the previous year & then won it once Bynum was healthy (not saying he was THEE big difference but it's whatever)

Dwight does NOT have a ring, yet "Superman" :skip: is smiling & yucking it up.

I can hear it already...

Oh yeah, Philip is never getting one either. And he has had his chances. So has Romo... I don't see either one getting one. And with Rodgers, Stafford, Cutler still around, I don't see how Romo will stack up. 49ers are legit now. Seattle is a sleeper... Romo/Vick's window is closing fast.

Same with Philip. Ben's going nowhere, Brady is still that dude, Flacco has a championship team around him... Manning is always a threat, and Bengals/Texans are on the rise. Sometimes people just miss the boat.
