His ts% stayed the same in 2010

His ts% dropped in 3 years and went up in 2 and it went down 3-5 percent in multiple years

I don't understand your point. Lebron's TS, at his worst in the Miami years, it was comparable to Kobe's in his championship years or better.

Do it like this...put your 4 favorite Kove years of scoring (PPG/TS%) and let's compare them to Lebron's 4 MIA years and let's see how they compare?

Lebron scored 26.9 on 59% TS in his Miami years and that his overall average. Pick any 4 Kobe years (And try not to use 05 and 06 because Kobe played a whopping 1 series)

So Lebron scoring at Kobe-ish numbers and that's...a slight against Lebron? Lmao

They aren't shooting from the same areas of the floor on the same volume which begets different defensive strategies which was my point.

He will be 3/6 in finals while Kobe will be 5/7. :sas1:

But, he will probably lose and be 2/6 in finals appearances, all while shooting less than 20% from three (7/50!) this post season and everyone will blame him not having help again.

And? Kobe is more versatile but less efficient. Lebron played the best defenses in the league, pretty much every year in Miami, while still being more efficient than Kobe usually is

bulls and celtics (2011), celtics in 2012, Pacers in 13 and 14.

Lebron's TS% goes down a bit from godly to Kobe-ish. Is that a slight against Lebron's scoring ability or something?

How many rings does Kobe have as the best player on his team compared to Lebron? Do 2nd option rings matter or not?

If 2nd option rings matter, Duncan > Kobe

If they don't, Lebron > Kobe

Kobe has faced more teams with a drtg below 100 than Lebron...let's not use that excuse.

And it's a slight because while the ts% may be similar, defenses have less areas of the floor to worry about with Lebron hence Mavs 2011 Spurs 2013 and 2014

If you make the standard finals you won where you played best on your team it's James 2, Bryant 1 as well.

From a pure basketball standpoint, there is no Kobe-Lebron argument. Kobe does literally everything better except pass and even that's questionable given Lebron's nightmarish turnover rate this season.

From an efficiency and numbers standpoint, you can argue it, but player to player? :manny:

Kobe averaged 31, 7 and 6 in the 2001 playoffs, while being the man in the clutch. He was the guy for them down the stretch of every series. So he was the best player, effectively. There are no "option" rings to me. Just rings.

Yeah, his best playoff stats ever that he got while being the 2nd option and Shaq was dealing with triple teams.

Post Shaq's playoff numbers and post Kobe's so we can see who the best was.

So you're under the impressions that Pippen is better than Kobe because rings are rings?

Chalmers > Nash?

So from impact and effectiveness impact, Lebron is better than Kobe...so what's pure basketball?

Lebron is a better passer, finisher at the rim, slasher, playmaker, more efficient and smarter scorer, and...

Oh, Lebron also shoots as many 3PA as Kobe has, over their careers, and is shooting slightly higher percentages too.
