Both of them don’t have as much mid as people like to claim but it all depends on which rapper you prefer when they go the “experimental” route.

In my opinion Nas has a MUCH better track record when he experiments musically or steps outside of his comfort zone. Distant Relatives is better than any collab album Jay ever released whether that was those awful R.Kelly albums, that Linkin Park bullshyt or Watch The Throne (which isn’t mid)

For truly truly mid-quality Jay has Blueprint 2 and Kingdom Come and for straight TRASH he has Manga Carta Holy Grail. Vol. 3 is also not my cup of tea. I fukks with Blueprint 3 heavy but that seems to be one even Hov fans don’t really rock with.

For Nas he has Nastradamus and Nasir. Streets Disciple is also polarizing but i’ve always loved it.

Jay has:

Kingdom Come
BP2(That album was good but Jay picked the wrong songs for the reissue, All Around the World is my favorite song off the album)

BP3 aged like milk.

Vol 1 is up there off the fact that Sean Combs EPed it

I can still play more songs off than Nastradamus than off Vol 1

Big Girl
New World
Shoot Em Up
Quiet Nikkaz
Family
Nastradamus

Everything is Love

All trash to mid

Kingdom Come was a mature album….

In 2006, Jay was a OG while spanking Cam and Jimmy

Dre saved that album with his mixing too.

Vol 3 was cool too….

Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were the MVPs along with Rockwilder.

It was the last time that Jigga had a Premo beat and So Ghetto sounded like something that Guru would have rapped on
