100% accurate imoBoth of them don’t have as much mid as people like to claim but it all depends on which rapper you prefer when they go the “experimental” route.
In my opinion Nas has a MUCH better track record when he experiments musically or steps outside of his comfort zone. Distant Relatives is better than any collab album Jay ever released whether that was those awful R.Kelly albums, that Linkin Park bullshyt or Watch The Throne (which isn’t mid)
For truly truly mid-quality Jay has Blueprint 2 and Kingdom Come and for straight TRASH he has Manga Carta Holy Grail. Vol. 3 is also not my cup of tea. I fukks with Blueprint 3 heavy but that seems to be one even Hov fans don’t really rock with.
For Nas he has Nastradamus and Nasir. Streets Disciple is also polarizing but i’ve always loved it.
