Nas: 22 projects since 1994; 6 of them 6/10 or less.

Jay-Z: 19 projects since 1996; 6 of them 6/10 or less.

Seems pretty even to me.

Definitely Nas.

One of my favorite MC's of all-time, but after I Am, my guy has at least 9-10 albums that I pretty much pretend never happened, and never listen to. The drop in quality was wild, compared to the early classics, like Illmatic and It Was Written. I honestly listen to his unreleased sh*t, more than the later albums.

With Jay, his catalogue was weird, because he would have some of his best sh*t on albums that had some of his wackest sh*t. But he only has maybe one or two albums that I think were wack overall and don’t even bother checking for anymore (Kingdom Come and Magna Carta Holy Grail). Nas was dropping sh*t that had people confused. So there's a whole period of his career that I just act like never existed because I was so disappointed in what he was making.

Relistened to Hov whole discography a few years back without skipping. BP2, KC, BP3 and MCHG are a straight up chore to sit through. Cynical, soulless, pandering ass albums :scusthov:Nastradamus and Nasir way easier to sit through than those.

Vol. 1 through Dynasty all basically I Am... status. High level rapping for the most part, some great tracks, some very good ones, but about half the songs got some combination of weak hooks and beats that aged poorly. But same Hovengers that hold I Am against Nas will tell you shyt like Vol. 1 and Dynasty are classics :scusthov:
I think I Am Vol 1 and Dynasty are all classics

Kingdom Come a classic to me too and Nastradamus was a great album fukk what y’all tombout :umad:

I got my own BP2 I put together of tracks I think it shoulda been and had that been the album it woulda been up there with Hov best albums :umad:

BP3 was classic or close :umad:

Oh and BOBW was a classic too :umad:
I still gotta hear LIG, I been bullshyttin :stopitslime:

esco aint drop an album in 08
you might be thinking of untitled in 09:patrice:
Untitled was 08 :mjtf:

I personally enjoyed Nas recent 6 album run especially KD1 but I think if he woulda taken those last 5 albums and just made 2 great albums out of them with the best tracks and maybe release a LT3 later with some of the rest they might be held in higher regard :ehh:

Stillmatic
God's Son
Lost Tapes
Distant Relatives
Life is Good
The entire Hit-Boy run

You don't fukk with any of those albums? :patrice: Because the way you put it, Nas was having an Eminem-style decline. And Jay has a lot of questionable music in his catalog if we're being fair.

After Nastradamus, I honestly only f*ck with the first Magic, where I bang the WHOLE album.

Lost Tapes doesn't count for me, because we all had those songs in the 90's, lol. I'll take a Nas loosie here and there from the later projects, and throw it on my Nas homemade playlist. Like "Nazareth Savage" from Street's Disciple. But that's a quick example, double album, and I only liked 2 songs on it. It's been the way with Nas's albums since 1999, for me. Too inconsistent.

Now, his sh*t from '93-'99. That's ALL day, for me. But it got too shaky after that.

Jay has some weak sh*t too, in there. But definitely not as much as Nas. Some of Jay's wackest sh*t ever, is right next to his best sh*t ever on some of his albums, lol. It's weird, but Jay was way more consistent though.

Blueprint soft as hell and only got one good song. Which jayz did not even write.
As a matter of fact.
It needs to be talked about just like drake and weezy Like how much jayz has not written.

You gotta elaborate. Let's hear more about Jay's writers. I'm intrigued :jbhmm:

Whats the one good song on BP you referring to?

Last good nas anything was salute me.

After that,...
The commercial cliche nas direction is insufferrable.

Jayz and nas after their last b sides.
Salute me. People's court to show toy how to do this.
not worth a damn.
as a listener or paying customer.
All this talk is disgruntled nas and jay fans getting their pac stan in 96 on.

shyt is bullshyt.

The only hard record on bp.

[Where the beat is a played ass loop but mixed with defjam resources. So it is given more props from that. While also publically by the jay stans never cited as being gw'd]

shyt is such a lie tho.
The worst holy trinity of bullshyt fukkery. Is the circle jerk.
of jealous nas stans and jay stans of pac stans.

This is why all this bullshyt is the way it is. Three insufferable fan bases. Who fail to acknowledge history or fact. Then act out of emotion.

It is the pitts and been the pitts.

The make and made rap insufferable. That now hiphop has been so castrated culturally from rap. That the point of no return is here and will never leave.

Alot of Jay z songs considered wack are actually decent if you listen to them a bunch of times

Can't say the same about Nas cause he's too monotone and weak beats also he be all over the place while Jay makes the subject clear on sticks to it
