Trash. I think BP is classic....but this was always horrible.

It's a classic, but it just show how Jay stans hold Nas to a higher standard than they hold Hov :mjlol:

They quick to point out the worst song or two on any Nas project to disqualify it from being a classic while the most acclaimed Jay album got that garbage on there.

Wrong again. How old were you in 2001?

Old enough to remember that Nas dropped a weak album in Nastradamus, but still had some of the biggest features of his career, took his normal almost two years between albums. In the midst of that, what was a subliminal battle became direct when Jay called him out. I loved Nas's first response in "Stillmatic Freestyle" and it sounded like a return to form. When "Takeover" dropped in full, a lot of people really wrote Nas off. And that would've been a death blow to a lesser MC.

Nas responded with "Ether" months later. Legendary diss, but it was songs like "One Mic", "2nd Childhood", "What Goes Around", "Rewind", and "You're Da Man" that really marked a revival and made fans of people who may have been casual fans of Nas before.

Unfortunately by the numbers Nas has more albums that aren’t good.

Thread is hilarious.

I voted Jay even in his most rated projects he is known for being zzzzz and overly shallow monotone just dull.

It used to be the beats and features that helped him and now that is all he relies on. All these teen people Gwntyth Paltrow audience raps nah not for me at all.

Bookem Woodbine is on the playlist. Dope Nas joint off his last project.

Hola Hovito is the worst song on blueprint.

Its on par with Braveheart Party on stillmatic.

Jay continued throwing garbage out there not just his ghetto techno era. :russ:

Good question

Nas had the stronger hip hop songs
Jay had more casual singles

Jay experimented more.

Both have a formula

Hmm. Id have to really think about it.

I don't think you can get more experimental than this
