I've been trying up until now to take your arguments seriously, but it's as though you're determined to direct attention away from the question I asked to find other ways to support your claim.
Can you please restate your question?
You ask whether people draw any kind of inspiration from Gucci's music, they do.
and what would that be? Haven't seen anyone post anything that would be called 'inspirational' on any level, nor provided any kind of analysis of a Gucci record to demonstrate their point.
On the other hand, I have provided analysis of some 50 joints with specific examples.
I can infer from this post also that you think Gucci's music lacks artistic value,
You're right.
a claim you've failed to support in any kind of way (you've even gone as far as saying you haven't heard most of his music).
His catalogue is not diverse. Not diverse in sound nor in theme. The dude releases the same music day in day out. I've been up on Gucci for years now. Every one of the songs I've heard carry the same vibe and attitude.
He makes it real easy for me to not have to hear most of his music.
This isn't like when people diss Lil B and haven't heard his music. Because Lil B actually has songs like "Open Thunder Eternal Slumber" or "February's Confessions" or other lyrical tracks that aren't 'dumb' shyt.
Where are such Gucci records? If so, please point them out to me.
But most importantly, if you strip away all the hyperbole from your posts, all the exaggerated claims like "I can't believe I'm having this discussion" when the forum is clearly not as decided on this matter as you might like to think, you're left with no support to your claims. You didn't even entertain my comment on how 50's music has seen a decline in quality, while Gucci's has seen a rise.
Because it's fukking irrelevant.
Gucci has never, and will never, even come close to 50 at his best. And I'm not even talking about record sales. I'm saying: artistic heights. People still play 50's music WORLDWIDE. When people have birthdays and they're partying, they throw on "In Da Club". "Wanksta" is part of hip hop lexicon like "stan", though not used as often because modern hip hop is less wanksta, more stan. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Gucci is a regional/niche artist with zero cultural hits. To pretend like it's close is ludicrous.
