I work in IT (I'm an Active Directory Architect at my current gig), I love my job, I'm making good money, but I ain't traveling too much lately; trying to buy a house next year.

Don't know bout anyone else but my life ain't too bad

I enjoy my work. I work for an automotive parts supplier, at a desk, I was on the line at the beginning of the year but I moved up. Now I work on test parts for cars, creating, weighing, and measuring parts. It sure beats working on the line so I won't complain.

Pros: Good money. Good potential for growth. Stable company. Paying for my MBA Laid back boss.

Cons: Middle of nowhere. Sometimes I'm the only black person in the building. Weather is cold as fukk. People always wanting to make small talk. Cubicle environment. Sometimes I feel like I could be doing MORE

Its always wonderful when the company pays for your education. But being the only black person in the building is bad, try being the only Black person in a city. I haven't seen a black person for months. Unless I go to Nagoya or Tokyo. And then its usually those black dudes who are slick trying not be seen with their Japanese women. The brothas get love over here.

I'm gonna keep it 100. We party like a mothafukka out here. Drinking sake and Chu-Highs all damn night. Its the culture here that is different. They have some amazing cultural sites. The temples are like 600 to 700 years old and seeing that shyt is amazing. I mainly kick it with my co-workers and teach them English and they teach me Japanese. I went to a maid-cafe and it was the weirdest shyt I have done in my life. Fine ass Japanese women dressed up in cat outfits dancing all around you. And those used panties are hilarious. We hit up a lot of these lounges where the women come up and poor you drinks and chat it up. You can't do shyt with them but its cool. But the Brothas I do catch out here are on missions mostly. Hooking up with these younger Japanese girls because they want to rebel against their parents. They want to know what it is like to be with a foreigner. Japanese younger women love Black Culture. Clothes and even rap, I rode to a meeting with my co-worker and he had Lil Wayne and A Tribe called Quest in the car. Tripped me out. That Earthquake messed up a lot of the businesses over here. And when I got here I found out that my US dollar wasn't worth shyt. I was hurtin for first month until I got my first pay check in yen. The conversion rate was $.77 to 1Yen when I got here. Painful. But, everything is within reach here. You can take the train everywhere but good luck on figuring out that train map. Get your drinking game up and karaoke skills up when you get here. That shyt is a national sport.

I work the graveyard at a grouphome type of gig. Graves is the best, kids sleep, dont gotta see the other staff to often. Them old fukks wanna converse bout shyt i dont care bout but fuc it I indulge em. Get paid good cake, its a county job great benefits. I also work 4 tens m im off thurs fri n sat so you can get too much better than that. Downside is shyt is.in the middle of the woods. Commute is like 45 mins but I get reimbursed for mileage so thats a win. like that stalley mixtape says "its a lot worse ways to spend your time than chasing the american dream."

shiiit, yall out there, i work maintenance.... its i get my sh!t done, they only call when its a problem... nobody watches me, take breaks "at my discretion", the main night person so i get most hours, can get hours in other departments, only deal wit people if i want to cause i can send them to a sales member, some sh!t dont get done its on overnight & mornin shift, work outside so i can smoke & take shots as long as i aint by the camera, retail spot so bad chicks all day...

as long as i get my work done, i do what i want, when i want, some of my supervisors tried to power trip, i called em out & told the big boss when i got called in... no better job right now....

He is right. The club stuff happens all the time! And those hungry ass Nigerians over here. They will try to pull you in their shop but I give them that get away from me nikka look and they chill out. The only thing that irritates the shyt outta me is dealing with white American foreigners. Its a different country but they start bytching about the food and how things are in America, I'm like look you are not in America anymore this is Japan, chill out. They try to say little sly shyt like, oh everyone is so small here, just being disrespectful. A majority of them are cool when they get over here but that loud ass minority of them, (if you go to Tokyo you will see them on the bus tours) they stay talking mad shyt. The Japanese people roll out the red carpet for you and treat you with respect as much as possible you can at least show it back. If you don't want to eat some sushi, politely say no thank you, no need to be all loud and saying it isn't cooked. Silly shyt. The Japanese people treat everyone cool...except the Chinese...its a bad time to be Chinese over here.
