I work as a web designer at a small advertising agency. Everybody is grossly underpaid except for the creative director and business manager who co-own the company. I am doing my job and somebody else's job because they went on vacation for 3 months, the work environment sucks even though the people I work with are friendly. I'll be putting in my notice during the holiday period :pacspit:

Work in retail and hate it but it could be a lot worse.

I used to get paid commission and it wasn't bad cause I was making above decent money for retail but those fukkers got rid of it last May so I'm at an adjusted benefit rate to make up for it. Sounds good if you were an average salesman but I wasn't. Been losing over $100 a week because of it :damn: Plus they gave me more responsibilities after docking my pay. I sell women's shoes and I get a lot of annoying ass bytches looking to complain on you for ANYTHING. I got one for asking an old cac for ID cause he was paying with a credit card. They won't move me anywhere else cause they know I can deal with the bullshyt better in the department than anyone else in shoes. My hours are cool though, even for the holidays :ehh: Mostly days with Fridays and Sundays off. If I gotta work late, its never on a weekend now. It's just fukked up how I've been there for over three years and I haven't acquired one minute of time off :wow:

I'm trying to get on for the state right now (I see you stuntone :salute: ) I know people (which you need to get on now) I'll be straight then if all goes well.

what are your thoughts on high speed trains in the US?

Is it probable any time soon, given the politics and the potential infrastructure upgrades that would need to take place?

Nah. No time soon. Too much politics. Obama approved a bunch of money for Cali to start a high speed rail project and Trump cancelled the funding. Same thing happened with Wisconsin except it was the then governor Scott Walker that vetoed the funding. I think the US is destined to have this crumbling infrastructure forever.

It's crazy because thats the conclusion that this CNBC report came to.

The most likely case may actually come from the private sector but even that's too expensive.

Yea these types of projects are almost impossible without some type of government funding.

Another problem is that most passenger rail is not profitable, because the infrastructure costs are so high.
