Who here can't bench above 300

Honestly.....probably never :francis:.

I like running and cardio too much to invest the time in getting brolic enough to hit 3-plates. I'm strong enough overall doing dips, pull-ups, deadlifts, squats etc, but bench was always my weak point. Pretty much the kind of dude that can bench maybe my bodyweight plus 10 to 20% and that's it.

Only time my bench has been decent is when I've gotten heavy/chunky. When I get leaner and eat clean, my bench always drops the most. Other lifts stay mostly the same and squats dip a little but not much.

Bench has always been weak for me. My Max was either 245 or 255 but that was years ago. With a janky shoulder now, I'm no longer worried about hitting 315. Still in the 1000 lb club Tho

I can do 315x2 not really big into the flat bench....But I'd like to know how much you bros are overhead pressing it's a lot of value lost in not doing that exercise.

Working on getting my numbers up on the standing military.

Today I put up 155 for 2 reps.

My goal is reppin 2 plates.

My bench kinda sucks tbh. Maxed out at a couple of reps of 225, need to work on my dips and pullups more to build up my overall strength. Once I cut down to where I want, I'm gonna grind it out.

Im working my way up on OHP

Currently at 6xreps of 145

I super set it into bent over rows for 12reps

I bench on same day and can barely do 6xreps of 180 :mjlol:

I think it's cuz I save it till the end of my work out when my upper body beat

Because I dont have to.

At my age trying to hit PRs does more harm than good. I've been working out for 20 years, if it hasn't happened yet, it probably wont.

Instead I focus on benchmark numbers

I want to be able to maintain
225 bench
405 DL
Dont have a squat number, I just want to do a back squat with good form

I dont do 5 days a week anymore. I also dont stress missing a workout.
