This song is more creative than most rappers entire careers. I fukk with it. Songs like this are why I can't understand how people can say with a straight face that "Nas doesn't change up his flow". Dude has been more experimental than damn near any of his peers over the years.

Also find it weird that fans love talking about the songs they hate from HHID (Who Killed It, Blunt Ashes, etc), but always gloss over the really undeniably dope tracks (Hold Down The Block, Still Dreaming, Money Over Bullshyt, Black Republican, etc). And I think that was arguably his worst album, but there's still plenty of great records on there.

the tri-state
song is classic. it encompasses everything a classic record should have;

original concept
dope sample
ill flow

anybody who doesn't appreciate it is just not cultured enough.

growing up I had d!ck tracy, batman, mobsters, warnerbros, etc. who doesn't love that voice enough to laugh?

nas also did the track as a humor filled way to approach a serious topic, hiphop is dead.

I commend this man, he is truly a legend. I say top 5 nas song, it belongs with one love.

Nas does it he's extremely creative, Em does it he's wack. :stopitslime:

Please tell us how Em sounding like borat and apu helped to enhance the content and themes of the songs he did it on? :childplease:

Nas sounded like that to play a detective on a song not just because for no logical reason... he also didn't sound like that thru out the album :snoop:

I agree with everything except this being his worst album. HHID is a solid 4 Mics and still listenable straight through when your in the mood, Nastradamus is by FAR worse than HHID and has more instant skip worthy tracks
