Who were the most overrated wrestlers of the 2000s indie wrestling boom?

I gotta disagree with your SD write up.

the "if you've seen one SD match you've seen it all" line is just fukkin stupid. You can say that about ALL wrestlers since they use the same moves over and over.

He had psychology in the ring. I've seen him wrestle live and on tapes plenty of times.

:ehh: Perhaps I should have said he never evolved or switched it up. As far as wrestlers using the same moves, you can't really say that about all of them. Unless they're following the WWE style, and even they have let wrestlers switch it up the past few years. That's the difference between him and someone like DB, Punk, or even Hero. They changed it up to stay fresh. Been a while since I saw any SD matches, can you point to or link a match where he displayed psychology?

Roderick Strong, dude is just fukking bland. His move set seems like it was created by a kid playing a wrestling game. roderick strong is just :russell: all around

He was awesome on the matches I saw from him last year. Though I like Roddy way more than the rest :patrice:

He's gotten much better the past few years, he used to be the definitive vanilla midget

Yeah, for most of his career he's been more of a mechanic/video game wrestler. But stuff like the Danielson feud and then the Stevens feud (I fukking LOVED their rivalry, specially in FIP) always made me give Roddy a bigger break than other people.

It did help I barely watched his ROH champion run and practically didn't watch him wrestle for like 3 years before 2015 though :heh:

I lost it at how PWG (well mostly the fans) made a huge deal out of Super Dragon coming back and then he'd be completely blown up about 3 minutes into a 6-8 man tag and spend the entire match taking a nap. No idea why he came back at all when it was obvious he wasn't in wrestling shape of any kind. Bigger lol that people ever thought that fat white dude in a mask and pajamas was a legit bad ass.

He's gotten better in 2015, but I still find him pretty bland, just can't get into his matches for some reason :manny:

SD had a wide variety of moves to do. He didn't need to switch up. I think there's a top 50 moves video on YouTube; might be less.

Can't pinpoint a match cause it's been years since I've seen one.

EDIT: top 85

His move set did evolve. its just that he found his style and kept it moving.

The guys you mentioned were all under WWE contract so they had to change.

Teddy Hart.... the Cage Kennylz of wrestling. What a maroon. :heh:

And yeah, I guess we're all unanimous about Colt Cabana.

Sad to hear that about Super Dragon. That early feud he had with Kevin Steen looked BRUTAL, and was one of the things that made me start paying attention to Steen/Owens in the first place.
:mjcry:cage tho :mjlol:
