Who were the most overrated wrestlers of the 2000s indie wrestling boom?

@Heelish

So your disrespect () towards Super DraGAWD made me pull out some of my PWG DVDs.

First one was against KO, which, I think, was the first encounter they had. You obviously need to freshen up on your history because he showed psychology.

At one point of the match he did a tope con Hilo onto concrete. His energy changed until the end of the match. Also sold his knee at times since KO inadverntly nailed him there.

And through out the match KO was using SDs moves against him. The finish came when KO was gonna hit a Psycho Driver but SD countered it and won with a Package piledriver.

:usure:
Fair enough, but Kevin Owens was involved so :yeshrug:

Lmao, dude legitimately injures himself with his video game move set, is praised for his psychology for not being able to move well after it.

Come on breh. :comeon: :snoop:
Not even trying to discredit or shyt on SD. Remember when DB gave Wyatt his only great solo match? Some wrestlers can carry a bag of shyt. I'm saying this as someone that enjoyed his stuff back in the day, but calling it how I see it. You're a fan of his and that's cool. We can agree to disagree.

:mjlol:

To give all credit to him without even seeing the match is disgusting. They both held their own in that match.

I just saw SDs match with Joe. Again I saw the same thing. And neither lagged; they both held their own.

You kind of admitted you were wrong, but to try to deflect it with a "but" makes you come off bad.

Go watch some of his matches now and tell me what you think.

First off, YouTube/Dailymotion don't have full solo matches vs Steen or Joe. Link it here if you find it. Secondly, as stated before, I liked SD back in the day, so it's not like I have it out for the guy. You seem like a huge fan of the guy, cool. The video you linked of his 85 moves (:snoop:) already back up everything I thought about him. He's a CAW with the coolest moves. The very definition of indy-riffic. Finally, there was no deflection on my part. Bringing up Steen or Joe is like bringing up Punk or DB, these guys have had great matches with damn-near anyone. :yeshrug:

I've seen SD wrestle cats I'm sure you never heard of and none of those matches were bad.

I'm just trying to tell you he's not the kind of wrestler you think he is. He may not be a great wrestler, but he's good. He can work a crowd, knows his psychology in the ring and has a versatile move set.

Right now I'm watching a match with him against Homicide. It's hard hitting, so far.

SD's psychology and entire moveset is literally straight out of No Mercy. Maybe VPW2 so he can get extra nerd points. "His psychology" was beating the shyt out of his opponent for no reason, making his opponent look like a chump, sandbagging his opponents, and then winning matches while everyone pretends he's king bad ass.

you obviously don't know wrestling. Aside from sandbagging, which I can't recall never seeing much (maybe because he would get winded so he wouldn't put much effort :heh:), he would work the crowd. Come on now, by making your opponent look "weak" you get the crowd behind them.

Beating the shyt out of his opponents for "no reason"? :dead: :mjlol: it's a wrestling match.

Beating the shyt out of his opponents for no reason as in, stiffing the fukk out of them for no god damn reason other than to make people think he was a legit bad ass. If you think working the crowd is psychology while telling no stories or having logic in your matches (fukker knew how to use the taunt button, what great psychology!), then you don't know shyt about wrestling breh. Coming at me with Drake smilies saying I don't know wrestling. That fukk is softer than Super Dragon's gut.

I've seen his stuff in XPW, CZW, and early PWG, from Ruckus to TARO. He was in my top 5 at one point. It was cool for what it was. I never said he was the WOAT indie wrestler, but definitely a top contender for the most overrated.

He booked himself like a CAW with maxed-out stats and nobody stopped him because he was part-owner of PWG and had a huge following. Huge draw. He definitely worked the crowd. #dontaskmehow

It's been a great discussion, that's why I love TSC. But honestly, I'm tired talking about SD, breh. Again, we can agree to disagree. If you run across any of his matches that prove me wrong, please @ me.

Some wrestlers work stiff. Ever heard of strong style? About the psychology, Somehow you were keeping up with my posts but not actually taking them in.
