Melo has high basketball IQ, determination, will..... why don't you deem him a player that doesn't make his teammates better than? Is it his fault that JR Smith fell off a fukkin cliff from his 6th man of the year season? Was it his fault that Felton is pretty much the worst starting point guard in the league? Is it his fault his defensive anchor for a large portion of the season was Bargnani? Was it his fault Amare couldn't stay on the court?

it has nothing to do with melo being a wing player. MJ was a fukkin wing player.

so in order for you to qualify to make your teammates better category, if you're a wing.... you have to be similar to MJ.....

it has to do with melo being a soldier, not a leader.

This is why this stupid ass phrase doesn't mean a cotdamn thing. Melo played with more intensity on offense/defense in 2013/2014 than he probably has in his whole career. Very few players in the league played with more vigor than he did last season.

melo is a great scorer, that's about it. he's not an all around great player and he's not a leader. yea he could get you 40 but you're probably not gonna win the game. and don't look for that intensity come playoff time cause it ain't there. plus for such a capable scorer he's too predictable come crunch time. iso dribble, pull up jumper, brick. knicks get the ball again. iso dribble, pull up jumper, brick. this time with 15 seconds left on the shot clock.

what chris paul does for his team is more valuable than any 30 or 40 point game from melo. he gets the entire team involved. not only that but he could also carry the load and take command of the game when needed. he's not just a great player but a leader as well.

cp3 and a complementary #2 >>>>> melo and a complementary #2.

and most of all, if the 2 ever teamed up together... you could bet your ass that cp3 would be the leader out on the floor, not melo. that says it all.

So a top 10-15 player like Blake isnt enough for cp3? Alot of places clearly ranked blake ahead of melo but now cp3 needs MORE help ?!??? Melo with a little help got further than cp3 ever been breh

Your comprehension level is at an all time low.

In a perfect world, neither player should be criticized because they don't have the right teammates or their teammates don't perform.

We/everybody criticizes all these top 5/10 players in the league when things go wrong, when they don't succeed etc etc...... why is it CP0 doesn't get criticized like Melo does, yet they basically have had the same success in their careers? Why does he get pass after pass after every season, somebody of his caliber and stature when those same passes aren't afforded to anyone else? Why is he constantly heralded as a top 3/5 player, and Melo sometimes not even in the top 10? Why does Melo get labelled as a ball hog and CP0 doesn't?

What I'm saying is, if passes can be given to CP0 then you do the same for Melo. If you shyt on Melo for not getting his team over a certain hump, you do the same for CP0. They should be treated the same, but they're not.

All I want, is for both of them to be treated the same, for better or for worse. Just keep it consistent and equal.

That's pretty much the most stacked team a so called 'top 5' player can have in the league.

I'm not saying it's so easy to replace his production, i said it's EASIER to replace his production than replacing Melo's production, because THERE'S MORE ELITE PGS IN THE LEAGUE THAN THERE'S WINGS....... at this point you're just playing dumb. That's why i'd pick Melo, because there's an incredible amount of guard depth in the league. I'd be more confident taking my chances filling the guard position if i missed out on CP0, than taking my chances looking for an elite wing.
