Nah I'll get it for Wii U there is no guarantee the NX won't be another Wii U.
Won't make the mistake of buying a console on the potential games it could have, because in the Wii U's case (aside from 1st party) they never became a reality and in Zelda's case it came at the end of the lifecycle.
There was so much wasted potential with the gamepad. There was one time Nintendo said the console would support multiple gamepads and everyone would have their own screen.

Years ago somebody broke in my shyt and stole all my game consoles. They left the Wii sitting there. I still have it. This was before the Wii U came out.

I think it was a gimmick. I don't believe that Nintendo really thought this control scheme was going to provide a fundamental shift how we will play games forever. VR is attempting to put it's place down to provide an experience that people will be able to use many years from now. There is a huge difference in between the approaches.
The Wii felt like a gimmick right from the jump and got casuals hooked because of Wii Sports. After that it was a huge nightlight for your living room or bed room.
Lol it's not like the NX is going to have a stealth release where people won't know what it is and only after someone buys it will provide information online. "It plays games!"
