Should Kareem get some consideration?
:ehh: Can’t argue with Kareem at all.

I’m a huge Hakeem Stan. A Stan of brehs playing with their back to the basket in general. Hakeem was the best. Even as a young nikka I rocked the ugly Hakeem Etonic shoes:hhh: shyt was like hooping in cinder blocks

No other player has had the footwork, counters, strength, shot package, mentality/exigency, all from the low, mid and high-post; let alone done it during a period where zone-defense was in play (which makes it harder since you're not just spamming 1v1 weakside possessions) against the best defenders and most-advanced schemes in history (up to that point).

Because regardless of fancy moves he was unstoppable in the post off of sheer power alone
that doesn't mean he had the goat post game. there's a bunch of dudes with like a hundred moves and all sorts of ways to score down low and then you got shaq, who had like maybe three things he could do. it isn't the same argument really.

Kobe and Jordan tbh.

Hakeem was nice, but Jordan and Kobe transitioned into and out of the back-to-the-basket game so effortlessly.

A great face-up and perimeter game makes post work so much more effective.

Should Kareem get some consideration?

Should he get consideration:what: he’s the greatest post scorer of all time
Now his repertoire might not be as deep or as appealing as Mchale, dream, Kobe, mj etc etc but nobody was more effective on the block he could hit those hooks with either hand from damn near 15 feet out, he had a great baseline spin and a nice up and under also Cap hands down owned the post
He was damn near 40 dropping 40 on young dream and Ralph Sampson

It’s like being a great pass rusher. You don’t need a million moves if the ones you have can’t be stopped :manny:

Shaq's definitely up there, somewhere, but he was allowed to get away with offensive fouls on the regular. He wouldn't be allowed to get away with half the shyt today, shyt, even back in the 60s, 70s and some of the 80s too.
