Where did I knock Wade for playing with LeBron?

Him being a talented superstar with other superstars won him a championship. Both times.

None of this has anything to do with who is having the better season though.

I just don't see how anyone can go with Wade over Kobe besides team record.

Kobe had talented SUPERSTARS for all 5 of his rings as well

Wade is playing 35 minutes yet is shooting a career high in FG% on limited attempts, and his steals and assist are right there with kobe despite playing 4 less minutes a game.

I honestly think Wade might be on the All-NBA 3rd team just like he was last year despite the Heat's record.

It will be interesting to see how he and Harden are placed.

Hell, there are a few people who will make the case for Harden over Wade and Kobe.

It's going to be a hell of a vote, you got 3 PG's all deserving of first team (CP3, Russy, and Parker) and 3 SG's all deserving of first team (Wade, Kobe, Harden)

Cp3 and Wade to me should get the nod, because of their personal stats and team success (parker missing a month and the spurs still rolling hurt his chances IMO)

So.....your basketball eyes tell you that Dwyane Wade is better than Kobe Bryant?

Forget the stats, FG%, what teams they play on, who they have on the roster, all that extra stuff.

Just off of purely watching the game of basketball, taking whatever knowledge you believe yourself to have when it comes to the NBA.......do you believe that Dwyane Wade is a better individual basketball player than Kobe Bryant?

Well, we can't forget the objective statistics though. They're fact. So I will give you my opinion, but it shouldn't override facts.

I do think Dwyane Wade is a better player. They are very close but in Wade I see a player who more often than Kobe makes the right basketball play and has better shot selection. I trust that I'll have a more fluid offense with Wade.

Bryant's drawback is his over-reliance on jumpshots that aren't very efficient, while Wade wisely chooses to live at the rim

Like others have said, the fact that you made this thread and one is in his 17th season and the other his 10th season says a lot. Oh, not to mention the 17th season player has better stats.

He doesn't, though.

Either your disingenuous or ignorant to the facts.

Dwyane Wade is more efficient. Wade is shooting 51.9%, with a 57.3 TS% and a 52.8 eFG%. Kobe is shooting 46.8, with 57.1 TS% and a 51.0 eFG%. Wade also averages more points per shot than Kobe Bryant.

Dwyane Wade also has a higher player efficiency rating that Bryant. Dwyane Wade also averages more Win Shares per 48 minutes than Kobe Bryant. If you're into it, Wade averages more wins produced than Kobe Bryant as well.

Based on the objective evidence, Dwyane Wade is having a better statistical season.

Neither has other HOFers...........and?

Kobe Bryant is the better basketball player and if you compare Kobe Bryant in his prime to Dwyane Wade in his prime, there's no comparision between the two.

It's crazy to me that Dwyane Wade has not clearly taken the role of the best SG in the NBA from Kobe and Kobe is playing in his 17th season:wow:

In EVERY SINGLE SEASON since 2008-09, Wade has had a higher player efficiency rating that Kobe Bryant.

In EVERY SINGLE SEASON since 2008-09, Wade has had a higher field goal percentage, true shooting percentage, and effective field goal percentage than Kobe Bryant.

For you to say Wade has not clearly become the league's best 2-guard during this stretch of years flies in the face of objective facts.

:dwillhuh: at shooting 26% from 3

I don't see the argument for wade.

Wade 21/5/5 on a 57% TS

Kobe 27/6/5 on a 57%TS

Similar efficiency despite the fact Wade is playing with Lebron

Wade also has a higher PER and WS/48. Offensively it's close but Wade has slightly less raw totals because he takes less attempts.

So I think offense is a wash. Wade is more quality, but Kobe's quantity makes it close.

However, Wade is a cog in a great defense. Kobe's not a very good defender at this stage either. So that's a part of it too.
