He only 18 so he still has time to grow and find what it is he wants to do with his music
Earl is uninspired and lifeless with his music now all he has is talent which I can't deny, but why consign someone who's not even interested enough in music to do something extraordinary?
I like Joey BadA$$ but I feel he dug himself a hole trying to restore 90's era hip hop

Sure. I'm just saying I didn't really feel Nehru's recent output, I feel like he wasted his opportunity working with DOOM and made mediocre project. I like few Earl tracks actually, as I don't mind his monotone flow, but then again I also like Roc Marciano, Spitta and Ka, so I'm used to it.

He only 18 so he still has time to grow and find what it is he wants to do with his music

Same applies to Earl and Joey, they're all too young and have time to change up the style or whatever, even though I don't really see it with Joey, since just like you said, he's too invested in 90's nostalgia.

Mufckaz wasn't calling thriller a classic in the 80s its how it was perceived down the line that made it classic..drake's music will be the same
his music has a hold on this young generation that will undoubtedly bring classic status to his works down the line
that's a sad way to look at music don't you think

I listen to a lot of underground shyt.

Rappers like Kirby Dominant, Von Pea, Cellski, Azeem, etc. drop masterpieces all the damn time.

Enough with this "sky is falling" bullshyt narrative in regards to rap music.
